Mumo didn't explained this but for those who had a tough time finding it, "The Personal Number" or "Immigration File Number" it's handwritten by passport employees and it's located on the 3rd or 4th last page of the previous or current passports above the blue stamp.
how about for new applicants? what do you fill?

Hellow, 3 questions.
1 To transition from old passport to E passport is it "new passport " or "replace passport "?
2. There is no type A series only type B available now?
3. How do you upload files smaller than 195kb if they don't accept pdf files and standard smartphone picture is north of an 1 MB?

2. yes the one for 4500 is gone
3. Try sending your photos via email it’ll tell you to chose the size. Pick one less than that required then save it to files and upload it it’ll work

once you've gone through the huduma number ID process why is there a need to physically visit an immigration office?all the steps can be done online.that's the idea behind the E in e-passport....kenya immigration needs to evolve further

Hello and happy to discover you. Here’s my situation. I am a British citizen. I came here when I was only 13 yrs old. I arrived here with my father who was already British. I arrived on my Kenyan passport. I am a British citizen but I have always had my Kenyan passport renewed that is until recently when it expired. In order for me to renew my Kenyan passport I am asked for an I.D card. I have never had an I.D card. My father has always been the one has renewed my passport. To make matters worse I have misplaced my birth certificate. Any advice so I can renew my passport. Thanking you in advance.
Please visit the Immigration offices at Nyayo House with the identification documents you have. You should get assisted. Hope it goes well.

Thank you for uploading this Mumo. Just to confirm, to correctly submit this application I would definitely need to select First Time Passport instead of Replacement of Previous Passport even if I have an existing valid Kenyan passport that is not an ePassport, correct?

@@mumo Thanks for the video, I ran into an error why trying to upload my signed application form. It says the size has to be less than 492 KB!?? My pdf is like 1.66MB. Let me know if you have any tricks around this. Thanks.
@@FrankyMits Just search online compress my photo to a smaller size, you will find many websites offering this service for free. You will just upload your bigger size photo and submit wait for the website do its thing(compress) , finally you can now download your smaller size photo.

You have to take a picture of your signature on a white piece of paper and then compress the picture to the required size in order to upload it

Eldah, you would probably need to do affidavits. But visit a Huduma Centre first and enquire on the same.
Hi, I am from Pakistan and my friends from Kenya we travel to Indonesia it so sad to see just because of the Kenya passport and skin colour my friend got stopped and ask so many question it is it didn't ask me anything at the immigration this see my Pakistani passport and I got through but they stopped my friends it's really sad

So just keep trying, trick I realized if you chose the City Square Posta (GPO) it costs you just 150, once you pay that's it. From there, funny thing I inboxed them via Twitter, and also mailed them using the email they give. I received an email from them saying collect it. I went and that was it.

Renewal may be possible depending on the person who will physically handle your case. Have a police report showing you lost the birth certificate.

You can get an affidavit by an advocate if you don't have any other docs.

This Immigration File Number stressed me out I couldn't find it at first, but it is found on 4th last page of your previous and current passport on top of the stamp. It starts with an R and it's handwritten by the immigration/passport employees.

@@feythwanjiks5822 The immigration file number is found in your present passport on the 4th last page, it's handwritten by the passport control officers in Kenya. It's above the blue stamp. Please check your passport again. Do not enter your ID or your KRA number it won't accept it.

I am a Kenyan living in the US. The online application won't accept my US address (saying it contains too may characters) so I can't move from that page. Also its asking for a KRA number of which I don't have because I live and work in the US...My next of kin is my American husband. So questions like ID card number, Division(county?) and Location(city?)... I call the embassy in Washington and all I get is voicemail. Called Kenya Immigration and we have communication difficulties. Any help will be appreciated

Lamination on a government document is considered defacing the document.

You need to scan a smaller size document. Make sure it's either Medium or High Compression setting

@@latestmovies718 send the image to your phone, when it's on your phone, screenshot it and send the screenshot via WhatsApp, this will reduce the size. You can send it to someone and ask them to send it back. What I do, is that I looked for an old group where I was admin and removed everyone except for myself, I send things to myself there.

You will place your second name as surname on the form.

You would first need to amend details on ID, using Birth Certificate. Then u can amend the passport details as well.
