ABOUT: 🔻
HIM was a Finnish gothic rock band from Helsinki. First formed in 1991 by vocalist Ville Valo and bassist Mikko "Mige" Paananen under the name His Infernal Majesty, the band broke up after only a few years, only to be reformed in 1995 by Valo and guitarist Mikko "Linde" Lindström.

HIM was a Finnish DarkRock / GothRock band, later they were known as the inventors of "Love Metal" [ which is also the title of their in 2003 released album ]. Highly recommending their albums "Razorblade Romance" ( 1999 ), "Deep Shadows & Brilliant Highlights" ( 2001 ), "Love Metal" ( 2003 ), "Dark Light" ( 2005 ), "Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice, Chapters 1-13" ( 2010 ).........
I highly recommend his other tracks such as Join Me In Death, Your Sweet 666, Funeral of Hearts! 🔥

I just died a little when your dad asked are they from America and you said "yes, I think so" 😅 this band is one of Finland's national treasures in my mind! 😂❤ you should definitely react to more from them and also Ville's solo-project called VV.
This reaction was amazing and the energy you both have was splendid. I would love for you both to listen to more H.I.M. together. That was a treat to watch. Thank you for watching my favorite band!

No, the lead vocalist is VILLE VALO [ nowadays more or less Solo-Artist with his project VV [ Ville Valo ]] and he's from Finland. Like so many other superb bands like : Nightwish, THE 69 EYES (a.k.a. Helsinki Vampires), LORDI, ApocalypticA, THE RASMUS, RECKLESS LOVE, Amorphis, Children Of Bodom, Korpiklaani,....

Oh thank you! Subbed for more. This album (Dark Light) was recorded in Los Angeles and I think that´s why it sounds more American. Maybe you could listen some older songs and then do some solo stuff from VV. Days are getting shorter here in Finland and I love listening to VV`s Run Away From The Sun😅 👋
Oh and check out also Charon or Poisonblack. I would start with a live-version/acoustic version of Charon's song 'Little angel' (when you search it up, it's the one where the singer is just sitting in a room with two players). Such a wonderful voice ❤
