That’s a cool cane! I love Donnas work too. She made these really cool bugs and a deer-like creature. I made them and an owl into fridge magnets. I also made a sea turtle which I do out of any extra canes. People love them. I can sell them cheaply because I make them from the scraps and a slice of the cane. Thanks for your inspiration!

My husband makes kaleidoscopes and wants me to learn polymer clay and make these canes. In his scopes, designs are best with a variety of color, shapes, sizes, and patterns. You got them all in this cane and the results are great. I've seen other videos where at least one of these design elements were missing and it showed. I'm looking forward to great canes.

You asked about graph paper for triangles. What you are looking for is isometric graph paper which you can get free online. I use the option for 1/8" dots. I then highlight the lines I want to use. You can make figures based on 60 degree angle: triangles, hexagons, diamonds, and trapazoids. I make them in many different sizes.

That came out totally awesome. I try to make one of Donna Katos canes the one that she made the bugs out of mine. look nothing like hers, but it still came out OK I love watching her and I love watching you. I learned so much from you I learned how to make flower canes from you.

Hey guys i'm alive. Husband and son were off the entire week of the 4th. I was sick with the flu that ended up going into My chest which resulted in very low oxygen saturation. Went to the ER and got a breathing treatment And I have been recovering ever since. Hopefully tomorrow I can actually get online. Thanks for worrying about me.
First, I just want to say that I love the way your cane turned out!! Second is a question... was wondering what is the best way to adhere polymer clay to a metal pendant? And will it work before it's baked? The pendant tray has a lip that curves in slightly at the top so doing it after it's baked might break the clay I would think...idk.
