    Neo may I kindly ask why you stopped uploading on your other channel I’m aware it’s your decision to to not upload there but it would help your old viewers if you maybe post on the community feed and tell them you moved on your whatever the case is but at least give them some clarification but i completely understand if you don’t take my suggestion or even give me a reply but hearing a clarification from you is better than someone else saying it’s your choice no the person saying for you but thank you for your amazing videos have a wonderful time with this channel and I hope for the best for you

    I also have a 2020 Trd Pro Manual.
    In general I get around 18.5 mpg mixed.
    It's really hard to get it any higher since at highway speeds of 70 mph, it burns exactly 12.5 L/100 km (18.8 mpg). At 55 mph, very steady driving may increase it to 20-20.5 mpg.
    I really wish I could squeeze more efficiency out of it, but I feel that in comparison to smaller trucks from 15 years ago, I have 100+ hp more than those, and probably better mpg than they had.

    If you put a cover on the bed and shift a little earlier your mileage should improve by 2-3 mpg

  • @pauls8748
    @pauls8748 Před 4 lety +7

    Your mileage would be better if you shifted earlier! Not at 3k, but at 2200!

    • @SimplyCarReviews
      @SimplyCarReviews Před 4 lety +1

      Yes it would. I have mud Terrains tires (285/75/16) with OEM 16 inch wheels with a 3/2 lift. I get 16.5 to 21 MPG and I have a manual as well. The rear end has a 4.30 ratio. With that gearing you can shift earlier and still move reasonably well.

    The automatic is tip tronic, automatic buyers can use it when going up hills.

  • @judgetbuzzard
    @judgetbuzzard Před 3 lety +1

    Awesome review, great looking and performing truck but just want to say still has drum brakes in the rear and tbh even for a manual truck with no load you did a 10.5sec 0-60. I get practice makes perfect and manuals are slower than autos but that's just pathetic especially for a 2020 truck that costs 60k Canadian. I know the Tacoma is a slow mid size in general but Toyota have to do something with the power. Ford ranger (270hp 310 Trq 4cylinder), Chevy Colorado has more power and more torque and even the Nissan frontier has only a 17 hp difference and that VQ engine is old af. Either way I get the appeal with Toyota reliability and it really is an awesome truck in a lot of ways but they have to update the power and put disc brakes in the rear before I consider buying it. Also good choice on the manual lol only 5% of Tacoma's are sold with them.

    @valkoriont2061 Před 4 lety +1

    You can change the color of the truck to match your paint for the camera I did that to mine. I thought it looked odd for it being white and did a little digging and found that it’s a option.

    • @fredlentz1411
      @fredlentz1411 Před 4 lety

      Valkorion T How did you do this? Can’t find that option anywhere.

    • @valkoriont2061
      @valkoriont2061 Před 4 lety +3

      It uses the Toyota service menu on your screen. Start the truck and let the screen load fully to the home screen. Then locate the headlight switch and the audio button on the head-unit. You hold the “Audio” button while flipping the headlight stalk between auto and on (The middle two options) three times. Then it loads a menu with 4 options choose “Function Check/Settings” there you will get and menu of the colors. Then you just choose “Amethyst” and hit okay. The get out of the menu just turn the truck off and restart the truck then your all set! Your welcome.

    • @fredlentz1411
      @fredlentz1411 Před 4 lety +1

      Excellent! This worked, and I was able to make the truck show up green like mine. It was under the “camera settings” of that service menu. Thanks so much! Now if I could change it on the dash info display! Haha!

    • @valkoriont2061
      @valkoriont2061 Před 4 lety +1

      Fred Lentz That was one of the very first mods I did lol! I still haven’t figured that one out for the middle display. Anyway glad to help I thought it looked odd being white. A friend of mine actually helped me he’s a service tech at Toyota.

    • @fredlentz1411
      @fredlentz1411 Před 4 lety +1

      It is very satisfying having it match the color of the truck - the white bothered me too! Very Gucci, if you ask me. That is an excellent discovery! You have a good friend - keep that one around! HAHA! I’ve done quick searches on TW and haven’t found anything pointing to that menu, so it’s great to know - one of the more useful things I’ve seen. Only other things I’ve done are all LEDs inside and out (I have a 2020 Pro, so didn’t have to deal w headlights), door sill protectors, and added the OEM LED bed lamps. Still want to get a Diamondback tonneau and rock sliders, but no rush on those.
