- Helicopter With Chainsaw Cutting Trees At Railroad Crossing, Impatient Driver Turns Around For Excavator Thinking It Was A Train, Car Turns Around For Single Locomotive,Trains With DPUs & Locomotive Running Long Hood Forward In Kentucky. 6 Trains In Crescent Springs & Erlanger, Kentucky On Norfolk Southern Railroad.
Steel coils train with DPU locomotive on the rear goes up the hill right after a long train with DPU goes down the hill. Then we see an excavator at the railroad crossing getting on the track. The gates go down and the lights flash so a car turns around thinking it was a train. Lol. The excavator was already off the crossing before the car was done turning around.
Then we see a helicopter using a special chain saw/blade thingy that is hanging from the air. The helicopter is cutting the trees back. Is that cool or what?! Have you ever seen something like this before?
After that we see a locomotive running light up the hill. Later in this video it will return down the hill with a train of mixed freight. I got a wave from the crew! We also see another train with a DPU drop down the hill on its way to Gest Street Yard in Cincinnati.
At this point I changed locations. I left Crescent Springs and went a couple of miles south to Erlanger, Kentucky. I got the single locomotive running down the hill with its train and the locomotive running long hood forward. An hour or so later a train can be seen diverging from track 1 to track 2 and then crossing the railroad crossing below me. This is an intermodal train heading to Cincinnati.
Don't forget the Live Action Pets and the slide show that comes from the video.

I think your colorful shirts are as much a part of your channel as the trains themselves. Anyone else?
I loved that shirt ❤
That is the very first time I have ever seen that . Very cool of the Helicopter cutting the trees.
Thanks for watching!
Train action in sunny cloudy Kentucky with a lot of awesome trains
and some DPU'S, an Excavator doing work on the tracks, a helicopter
cutting limbs off the trees which was awesome and of course the live action pets having fun playing in the yard and the train slide show
Thanks Jaw Tooth.🚂🚃🇺🇲
Thanks for watching!
It takes a steady hand on that chopper. My kudos to the pilot.
It was also getting very breezy
@JawTooth the pendulum effect can definitely ruin his day. I was watching his movements and got that feeling
Amazing how those engines can pull those steel coils, I really enjoy them, a 18 wheeler can only carry one, great catch JT. You did a video awhile back of a helicopter cutting tree's by the power line on your farm.👍👍
Hi JT pretty cool on how they cut back the trees for the train tracks stay clear ❤❤❤
Always love an EOT DPU. The helicopter up here for clearing power lines uses a multi gang series of circular saws. Either way it's some spendy action. Back in the 70s the Milwaukee Road sprayed everything around the tracks with surplus agent orange. It killed everything out to one hundred feet and lasted about five years. Cool video, thanks JT!
Cutting tree branches with a helicopter is a very original idea. It takes all the pilot's dexterity to intervene with precision!
Thanks for watching!
ABSOLUTELY FREAKING COOL CHOPPER WORK! WAY TO GO!
Never in my 87 years I have seen
a helicopter, a chain saw.. cutting trees. 19:09 JT you hit the jackpot on this Tom87
DPU brings up the rear😊
Awesome video jaw Tooth
The saw is actually made up of a row of 8 or more circular saws. We had one of those helicopters and the same type of saw rig park at our local airport overnight. Got to see the saw close up.
Thanks for watching!
Hey jaw tooth lots of train action. I'd definitely wouldn't stand around or under the helicopter with a chain saw on it. Keep the videos coming. Dog loves playing with red ball . Have a great railroad day. 🚂🙋♀️
That was a good one! Awesome live action going on. A few years ago I was coming home one afternoon and about 5 minutes from my house there was a helicopter with a saw like that one cutting limbs along the power lines. That takes a lot of skill on the part of the pilot to control the helicopter and the saw at the same time! Thanks for the video. But wait I bet there is more to come🚁
Lots of live action! Awesome catches and great views! Fantastic video JT!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Thanks!
Great videos JT😊
That was a long intermodal at 145 cars! There were probably as many empty cars as loaded ones. Lots of empties or not, it was a good train! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Yes it was
You know Brian, it really fascinates me to see the people who aren't a railfan or in a hurry and can't wait for the trains. Awesome live action as always my friend.
Thank you very much!
Great video, Jaw Tooth, love the helicopter trimming the trees, that was really neat. You-tube put 20 minutes of ads in the middle of your video, I could not believe it, they have never done that before. Generally there are about 3 to 5 ads about 10 seconds to 20 seconds, not 20 minutes worth of ads. Sometimes I think You-Tube stumbles over themselves, LOL. Anyway Jaw Tooth, have a great weekend, my Friend.
A cool 😎 coil steel train. You know I love ❤️ those! It followed a good, fairly long mixed freight. Good catches, JT! Thank you. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thanks! You too!
My personal favorite train horn!! The K5-LA!!!
Thanks for watching!
Nice
Thanks for announcing the placard numbers it helps new modelers
my pleasure
Enjoyed this! You had some beautiful weather. That helicopter chainsaw rig was pretty cool.❤
Thanks for watchibg!
Boy, Loki loves that big ball! He's funny. Love seeing them! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

You're right!❤
Mr. Jaw Tooth, you are one of my most favorite people. Thank you for your videos and keep em’ coming! ❤❤❤❤
Wow, thank you
Never seen anything like this before! Wow!
Pretty cool isn't it
D-P-U-I-C-U. That's my kind of chainsaw, too old to climb anymore! Lots of DPU's today Jaw, interesting track crane that can run on the rails. Great video today Jaw!
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video, as usual. Helicopther trimming trees...mindblowing! You always seem to catch the most unique in your video. Thanks JT!👍🚂😎💯
Glad you like them!
You had a great view angle on the intermodal train at the end. What was good is you can easily see where the breaks between the triple cars and the next are.
Very true!
Thank You Jaw Tooth! Happy Saturday
Thank you too
A spectacular video, Jt! Awesome trains and interesting locations and happenings. Thank you very much! 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it

Brian, thanks for the live action. Graffiti included, and THANKS for that ACE on the tail end. DPU, I see you … especially when you’re EMD.
You bet!
Beautiful shot of Clouds....Trees.& TRAIN!! 🚆 🚉 🚄 🚋 🚈 🚅 🚆
I was watching Buckeye Freight Railin's video a while back and he was saying that the coil train is a high priority because the coils have to be a certain temperature when they get to Rockport, Indiana. That's something I wouldn't have guessed.
I did not know that. Very interesting
Is that for the open coils, or just the casket coils?
@@stormraven4183 that’s a good question. Next time I watch one of his videos I’ll post that.
That helicopter was crazy, have a good weekend 🙏🏻
Wow! One of your very best videos JT! Lovin that power! 🚂 🚂 Have a great day everyone!
Thank you very much!
An exceptionally good video, today, JT. A little bit of everything in this one .. a lot of cool stuff, and you seemed pretty upbeat. Thanks for sharing with us.
I appreciate that!
Hello JawTooth, I lived in Dorchester County, SC. and the electric company used a helicopter with multiple rotating saw blades hanging below it on a long cable. Very scary to see it flying next to the power linesThanks for your videos. Leo and family.
Another cool video. Love seeing those 48 foot intermodal cars still in service.
Thank you very much!
Wow wee Jaw Tooth that was a great video trains and a helicopter Holly cow
The first train ar Erlanger was short but it was a good one. We had the UP box car with no graffiti, and it was part of 17 box cars in a row! That must be a record for this day and age, JT! That was a fabulous catch. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
This was a first, a chain saw helicopter-way to cool. Thanks for a most interesting video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey JT, they also use those helicopters with those saws on them to trim powerlines and pipelines. They set one of those saws down in my sister‘s yard and left it overnight. You order to see how big the chain is on that thing you wouldn’t believe it how big the teeth are on it, they unhooked it and then they landed the helicopter and left it there overnight too and they paid her a good bit of money to leave that helicopter and that saw there overnight but anyway, my friend another awesome video and Scott was there today before and he caught every train coming up the hill except one that was going down.. I believe that crossing has got you jinxed or something lol but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one and have a good weekend to JT
Thanks for a great way to start the weekend 😊 !
Our pleasure!
Awesome catch, JT! You always get the greatest shots! We need that copter on the W&A above Atlanta lol. Keep up the great work and thanks!
Thank you very much!
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much.
Glad you like them!
I have seen Helicopter tree cutting in person but that looks interesting. lots of wells on the move. Thank You.
Work it girl work it.
Really enjoyed the entire video with breakfast today. Great job JT. 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
You caught a good one!
thanks for watching!
Amazing video Brian! I loved to see MD- 500 helicopter ! Have a nice weekend!
Have a great weekend also Gabor, what is left of it lol. Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth You're welcome and thanks so much Brian!
That's cool a helicopter cutting trees
Great video
Thanks!
That was a fabulous mixed freight, JT! Of the 184 cars my favorites were the 2 green box cars and the 3 compartment tank car. Great catch! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it! That tanker is pretty cool
@@JawTooth 🙂🙂
very nice🤗
Thank you 😊
Nice job catching those trains jaw tooth keep it up and be safe out there while you’re railfanning the rails please
Thanks! Will do!
Good video Jawtooth
Thanks!
I’ve seen a lot of interesting trains and other stuff, but seeing a huge chainsaw hanging from a helicopter is a new one for me, live action indeed JT.👍🏼🤩😎never seen that before.
Saw the helicopter saw doing power lines once but not for railroad that's awesome 👍
I’ve never seen a helicopter cut trees that’s pretty cool
That's quite a bit of freight moved there! Yeah, I saw your video with the folks cutting the trees with the helicopter(didn't Mrs JT get that?) Some nice new cars on those consists. Some funky graffiti too. I was puzzled with that last one and all the 5-deck articulates going down the hill on the back of the train, unloaded too. Maybe there's too many decks for some of the curves and the radius needed and available or not to get the longer articulates round them? Worth asking about. A great day trainspotting/Rail-Fanning. All the best JT. Keep safe. Cheers!
Nice video of the helicopter!
Thanks!
Amazing videos Jaw Tooth keep up the good work
Glad you like them!
Neat Chopper cutting trees!! Great catch J T.!!! 🚆 🚉 🚄 🚋 🚈 🚅
Thanks 👍
😅nice that helikopter ,thanks for the video,i have see one cabride for 2 hours here with the stoptrain.thats a diferent story.lol. have a nice weekend, greetz:🍐Peer.
Very cool!
I've seen trucks & 4wds on our tracks but never an excavator and that was really as you said pretty cool.
Nice Video & it looked a great day to be out & about.
Thanks for this.
Respectfully.
I see a train coming around that curve and I immediately know where we are. Saw the helicopter and chain saw before on your videos. Pretty cool stuff! I always like your videos JT. ❤
Very cool video J.T.. I'd have a hard time leaving that locale today. Too much fun action.
You and me both!
You don’t miss a trick do you son !
87°F in Puebla today. We bein' warm. Gracias por tu video, Señor Jaws. RT sends/envía, Puebla, México...
That's pretty warm. We had one day where it was that warm. Thanks for watching!
Nice Video
Thanks
DUDE COULD CUT SOME POWER LINES WITH THAT THING !
There is a similar helicopter setup that comes to our airport occasionally. It has a boom with multiple saw blades on it. They use it to clear tree branches near power lines.
Awesome wave! I didn't even see you hiding behind that sign!
Right!
Nice work Brian...... That catch seeing the helicopter was awesome 😊
Thanks!
Cool caboose on the first train. It looks like a locomotive!🤣🤣
It does!
That was a live action video! I've never seen them cut trees like that. James Bond had that in on a movie, so I knew they used helicopters to cut trees just never saw it in reality. How's the jaw doing? Great video! Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the gas money Mark! That really helps a lot! The jaw, I don't know. It's uncomfortable but not hurting as much today at least not yet. Yesterday when I was filming I was talking to the railfans and when I start talking it gets to hurting. I had someone comment saying it takes about 6 months to heal. The doctors never told me that. Anyway, thanks for your support!
That is so awesome takes a precision flying skill to do that
Brilliant video as always JT thanks have a great day and greetings from Scotland 😊
Thanks! You too!
@@JawTooth Your welcome JT 😊
The chopper with a chainsaw was a first for me... looks dangerous and how do they keep the tip out of the dirt... Seems like a work car with a boom could cut the lower stuff faster and leave the high ones for the fly boys... ha-ha. I saw a KCS box car go by on the 1st train. Great video, thanks JT, keep up the good work.
The Heli-Saw has (10x) 24″ blades to cut larger branches with each 20ft swatch and provides a smooth
Hi JT very cool video. Did you get a count on that first one? Helicopter chain saw very interesting. How long do you estimate that blade to be? I'm thinking about 6 ft. Never would I have believed that a chain saw could be operated from a helicopter. That bird was operated by one heck of a pilot.👍 BTW you said you don't use a drone. Sooo how do you get those aerial shots?
Was that last train carrying coal or ballast?
Saw this with the big cutting blades in a James Bond movie.
Cool!
Hi JT, I saw Mrs Tooth shoot her video of the helicopter its awesome to see, but does seem a bit dangerous! 😱 & look how the grass is cut nice with stripes nice to see. Monster train going down the hill north to Cinci JT it was a long one! I'm learning so much watching you & Scott I know when you say 28C it's my favourite train coming! So thanks for that. ❤😊👍
Yes, that was nice of her to film that for me when I was out. This is my first time to see it. I wonder how much the pilot makes. That job wouldn't be for me. Sometimes they use an airplane to dust the giant crop field behind my farm.
@@JawTooth Hi JT, I hope the helicopter pilot MAKES ALOT of money, dangerous work there was pylons nearby a gust of wind could have spooked the pilot & the chainsaw & you had workers nearby, what's the worse could have happened? 😱 I've flown in a plane but no way I would go up in a helicopter! 😨🥰
Lots of happenings there. Hey Brian, having a Yard/Garage sale today so I'll be home all day.
Good morning Jaw Tooth.
Good morning!
I saw a helicopter trimming trees around high voltage power lines once, now that I think about it. 🙂
Mrs Tooth filmed one for me when I was gone. They were cutting the power lines on our farm
@@JawTooth Cool 😎!
I saw a helicopter cutting trees along high tension power lines in the mountains. It used the same type of saw.
Cool video. Have a nice weekend 😊🌈
Thank you! You too!
Saw a helicopter trimming trees along power lines near Metamora, IN.
Thanks JT!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Never seen a copter trimming trees!Good one Son! I googled that procedure you had done, sounds pretty nasty if there is complications! Hope you get it straightened out soon ‘tooth! (No pun intended!)
How awesome! That's the best MOW action I've ever seen, better than a grinder at night, even. Nice shirt, btw 😁
Thanks 👍
Cool great video
Thanks!
Amazing video JawTooth my dad said you upload everyday and he will watch it everyday same here maybe my grandma too should watch your videos too
All action today JT. Yes I saw the chopper chopper at your place last year, lol 🤣🤣 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
We have had choppers with cainsaws here in the NE TN mountains cutting trees back from the power lines. That CAT riding the rails was cool. LOL, all these ppl turning around. TY for sharing.
Very cool! This is my first time to see helicopters doing that. One time when I wasn't home Mrs Tooth filmed a helicopter cutting the trees back from the power lines on our farm
Great catches awesome capture and nice video
Thank you very much!
