I wear waders over 100 days each year up here in Alaska. For quality breathables High & Dry with 1500 gr Insulate Boot, LaCrosse ALPHA SWAMPFOX DROP TOP, and SIMMS (Made in USA).
I’ve got the frogg togg grand refuge 2.0 with the removable liner. Super easy to take out and the zippers are color coded. Getting in and out of the waders are easy. Only thing you have to do is make sure the insulation doesn’t bunch up when you put your feet in. Besides that really good pair of waders and the price point isn’t near what Drake and Banded are.
How do the drake waders fit you? I just tries a pair that were really big in the legs and body. Thanks for the review, ain't many drake breathable wader reviews out there.
They are big in the legs....I believe that is what caused the seams on the inside of the legs to start wearing out.....the material has a tendency to rub together when walking at times.
The thing I don't like about the drake's is the knee pads collect so much water. So if you hunt out of a boat you end up with a half a gallon of water every time you get out of the boat
What sized do you recommend for drake? I’m 11 boot 190 and 5 ‘11”. I’m afraid they will be really baggy. I was looking at getting size 11 boot regular.
I wear a size 12 boot.....I am 6-2, 240....I wear the regular.....they are a little tight fitting around the waist but I can not stand baggy waders....I would rather fit snug than too baggy....But I do recommend trying them on before buying....I do not have the new style they have out....I don't know how they fit.
Just to add, I’m 6’2” 200lbs and I wear a 13, bought the 13 regular and they are EXTREMELY to large! I can fin another person in the chest and leg area and with the straps all the way tight the chest cross-section is at my nose. Very sad they don’t fit and even worse I can’t return them because they were on closeout sale.
Bought a pair this year im 5’11” little baggy but allows extra clothes best waders ever. Hunted this year with 6 guys wearing Sitka waders and theirs leaked but mine didn’t. Very much recommend

I heard the LaCrosse Waders are pretty good.

The reason I bought the Rogers is due to them being made by Frogg Togg....I hope they hold up to the wear and tear of Duck Season.
