9:46 It looks like the Chiefs are actually dropping into some kind of Cover 4/ Quarters Coverage from a Single High look, and Chamarri Connor makes the amazing read on Gabe Davis’ in route, and follows him after knowing he’s completed his assignment. Great awareness of the play by Connor. Can’t wait to see what he does in Year 2 with hopefully an expanded role.

Bro Dan brings the best chief work out of all chiefs channels for sure.
Twice in the playoffs, we look at each other on the couch and say, "Conner is good!" or "A rookie?" He is what you see in other great teams,- that one DB who is "flying around", and "seems to be around the ball alot." We have found out that a championship team cannot go WITHOUT too many DB's. I don't know of any stats, but it seems to me that ALL close games are won or lost by inexperience in the defensive backfield. They are nowdays loaded down with too much necessary 'filling in' (like linebackers) beyond the D-linemen. For two years now, the Chiefs have played, back there, as if they have EXPERIENCED players, tho' they be rookies. Good show, Daniel! It is a good peek into how instructive our position coaches are, and their interaction with other coaches & players.

Last season Chamari Conner was almost always the nickel backer any time the other teams offense was in 12 personnel. I’d expect that to be the same this year, however he’s going to have Jaden hicks on his heels to take that position. Andy Reid loves to brew up competition on his teams. That’s why he’s had so much success.

I do not understand why Dave Merritt has not received a defensive coordinator position. He knows how to bring the scheme to his talented players in the secondary.
Merritt is terrific, no doubt.
Some guys rather just coach man.
