Ayaan lives a very wealthy lifestyle with his married brother, Karan and his wife, Anju; a younger sister, Yamini, and brother, Rahul; his mom, and grandma; and runs a garage. One day he meets with beautiful model, Ahana, and falls head over heels in love with her. She forgets her personal diary at his garage, and through this Ayaan woos, wins her heart, and both get married. Ahana soon finds out that despite of Ayaan's wealth, his family is very conservative and tradition-bound. This causes some bitterness between the newly-weds, which gets worse when she becomes pregnant and wants to abort the child. While visiting her mom on their dog's birthday, Ahana has an accident which results in a miscarriage. Ayaan blames her for losing the child, but his mother convinces him and he apologizes. Few months later, Ahana becomes pregnant again, and that's when she finds out that Ayaan had pulled wool over her eyes through her personal diary. Watch what happens when Ahana decides to get drunk on her birthday and expose Ayaan publicly.

What a third class thinking! Who gave right to husband to beat his wife? Child is not everything. Not every woman wants to give birth to a child. Such type of movies should be banned. No one can force a woman to bear a child. It's a girl's wish whether to conceive or not. If he wanted a kid, he should have adopted a kid. In this movie, Salman Khan's character is completely at fault. This movie is disgusting from starting to end.
I advice today's generation to watch this movies. Money and materialistic things are temporary. We fall for materialistic things that's why we are suffering so much.

I find the most sensible character in the movie is Ayan's mom..
She was at first, but then when Shilpa gave birth, the mother let Ayaan walk out with the baby without any permission from doctors or anything. She didn't explain to Ayaan that he needs to give time to his wife and treat her fairly. She was a good person but she made mistakes.
@@wafiya1449 that's because Shilpa in the movie made it clear that she didn't want the baby and wanted to abort it. The court prevented it and gave Ayaan the child's custody after the baby is born....so why wait for ahana(Shilpa)? And at that point they were supposed to be divorced. So Ayan's mother doesn't need to say anything to Ahana now.
As for not telling the doctors I think that is the movie plot fault....we all know in reality you can't take a baby without proper discharge and paperwork from the hospital

She is absolutely correct except the alcohol part where she embarrasses her in laws n her husband. Every girl expects quality time w her husband at least in the beginning of the marriage, dragging the whole family into watching the movie was not reqd. And gifting her possessions that had been bought in some other country was simply unacceptable. He did not trust his wife and accused her of killing the baby. Not to forget the fact that he literally forced the child birth upon his wife. AWFUL. In the hospital scene, he did not even let the mother look at her baby and got away with the child, did not feel the need to ask about the well being of his wife, wow WHAT A LOVE. Bollywood was just stupid and bizarre back then. Glad that there are less craps like these today.

Please watch the whole movie from a neutral pov. Shilpa's character is so compromising and understanding. In spite of being open minded she refers to her husband as Aap. She sacrificed modelling, started dressing conservatively, even agreed to keep pregnancy just for in-laws's. Never spoke rudely to in-laws.
Her only fault was she expected to have some alone time with husband. To sometimes go outside with husband alone. Was that too much?
Still the patriarchal mindset will find blame her but not Salman who lied to get married to her. Then couldn't fulfill simple wishes of his wife like going to movie just with her. Forced her to change her personality. Forced to keep her pregnancy. When she got miscarried he accused her of abortion. He didn't trusted his wife till his mother convinced him. And last but not the least slapping wife in front of everyone! Which kind of man would do that? These kind of man forgets that his parents will not always be there. His brother and sister will get busy in their own family with time. It is the only the wife who will always be with him .
In this movie I feel bad for Shilpa.. Her points are valid somewhere.. 😐
