Brother missed Chattanooga Whiskey I know you can't cover them all but Chattanooga Whiskey has kept their shelf staples at extremely affordable prices and their offerings are and can be much more affordable than legacy brands which is mind blowing.
I can get the Chattanooga 111 in Oak Creek, Wisconsin 3 for $104. That’s a helluva price for a non-chill filtered, cask strength bourbon. It stays on my shelf. And their 99 rye is 3 for $84. Store is Ayra’s, and they do proper raffles for allocated bottles. Awesome store.
I love the feeling I have as I’m pouring OF 1920, knowing that I’m never going to have to worry about how I am going to get another bottle when this one is gone.
Just picked up an Evan Williams BIB at $21. Larceny is always a great pickup for under $30. Jim Beam Black. Lots of great picks around the $50 price range. We have a local distillery in Detroit that does most of their whiskeys and bourbons at 100 proof for $50. Always at least a few bottles of theirs in the house
As far as Full Proof goes a lot of people are afraid of the high proof. I bought my brother a bourbon starter kit and included the full proof and he told me to take it back before he tasted it because of the proof 😂
Just educate him. Tell him he can add water to it to bring the proof down to his liking. People are too weary to experiment with their whiskey. I’ve put sherry in my rare breed and it’s amazing. Shit, you bought it, get weird with it. There’s more than just honey and maple finishes too. Cheers brother 🥃

We have Driftless Glen up here in Wisconsin making excellent craft everything spirit-wise, with a great master distiller. Their rye and bourbon is gonna hit 9 years. I have an 8yr 125pf rye store pick that was $59 and is absolutely amazing. They have a bourbon finished tequila that should win national awards. Their experimental distillery only releases are all hitters.
I often get a butter- marshmallow note on double oaked bourbons. To my palate, it is less like a smores and more like the sticky mixuture for rice krispy treats.
Love hearing the nuts and bolts of the whole whiskey process. Benchmark full proof is allocated here so hard to come by but the Benchmark bonded is very tasty and a little easier to find.
Just never liked finished whiskey/bourbon, doesn't mean i think it's not any good its just after drinking for over 50yrs my preferences are kinda set in stone. 😎
I haven't been seeing the Makers 46 cask strength anymore lately on shelves. And the standard Makers 46 now has a red label like the CS did. I'm wondering if the 46 CS is being discontinued or maybe going through some kind of rebranding? Glad I have a backup bottle at least!
You are the 3rd person to mention this. It is still available in my area, and I have not heard of this. That said, distilleries do not always make those changes public.
I'm not sure why people don't pick up on the fact that just because things are made from the same company thst they don't actually taste the same. Buffalo trace is more mellow and mildly sweet while benchmark full proof has a lot more bang to it and more spice. People that just want smooth gravitate towards Buffalo trace and if they were introduced to benchmark first they'd be a bit more hesitant to try Buffalo after if they knew it was the same distillery. People should go by profile... taste.
Have you checked out Olde Raleigh Distillery? Similar concept to the Barrel Foundations but in an Old Fitz-ish decanter bottle. I recently found batch 13 [Six Shooter] and it is rediculous. Bourbon with a Scotch-level palate.
Nice choice’s! I completely agree on the rum finished Prideful Goat! It’s a great pour! IMO the 6yr rye is as good or better :) and I’m looking forward to getting other offerings soon! Cheers!
I did a tour at MM a couple months ago and they gave us a sample SFTB. Idk if the barrels are different enough for a robust SiB pick program but damn if it wasn’t the best MM I’ve ever had, it had a cherry note that I have never tasted on anything from them
AE Rye in Rum Barrels is one of my favs too; I went down the rabbit hole on other rum finished products and they haven't quite stood up to the AE. Does PG Rye Rum finished come close? I need to find this bottle, available online anywhere?
@@MurfsKitchen there have been 2 label changes since the bottle randy shows. do you have the Newest red label from the website? (the newest label has the 46 in the middle and not the far right)
@@OGbrick420 the 46 is on the far right on my recent purchase, I see what you’re saying now. They’re using a red label now too on the NOT cask strength.
Good picks. By any chance, have you tried any of Corbin Cash’s ryes? They are out of the Central Valley here in California. They are also a grain to glass farm
I am a fan of the Angels Envy Rye I would like to do a comparison with your own Prideful goat finished in Rum. I haven't seen your product in Minnesota. Any plans on hitting this state? Or am I not looking hard enough? Also, as Buffalo Trace fan it would be awesome to see the benchmark line in the state. My local store doesn't see any product other than some random buffalo trace case drop and I don't consider "Traveller" a buffalo trace product.

@@BourbonRealTalk truly an exceptional whiskey! I’ve always adored lychee fruit as i lived near an old, unpicked tree in Florida. And I’ve always been an avid tea drinker. A favorite tea of mine years ago was a black lychee flavored tea, and oolong is a slightly fermented black tea that is such a unique flavor. So my pallet was right at home in this bottle. Love you guys! Good to see a Happy couple enjoying this together!

Was in Georgia recently and was happy to see Prideful goat at the store.
Anyone looking for Weller 12 should try the regular Makers 46. Similar flavors and drinking experience. Nice flavors and not too complex.
Would love to get that sample pack. Only about 6 months in to my bourbon/whiskey journey and haven’t had 4 of those picks. Love the channel guys.

Picking prideful goat is a fine, it’s good whiskey and not overpriced.
Anything whistle pig should be on the NDP list, period.
I think you are right. I got farm stock and piggy back confused.
I never buy from NDP , always the Legacy distilleries for me. 👍🥃😉 Cheers
Ad an NDP, that makes me a little sad, but I understand and support your decision.
I love the concept, but I can’t get past the barnyard earthy funk in Frey ranch.
I taste it in the malted products, but not the bourbon and rye.
Great looking lineup. I’ve only had the benchmark
Thanks for the suggestions. Enjoyed the video.

If you like infused/sweetened whiskey, Starlight Blackberry, Von Payne Black, and Barrell Seagrass are also good options.

Benchmark Full Proof with a spiral is very close or potentially better than STAGG!!! 🤯
Have you ever thought about benchmark double oak
To my knowledge Benchmark doesn't have a double oaked SKU.
