Supporters of President Trump protested on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue and covered part of the phrase with a huge pro-Trump flag. There were several scuffles and loud confrontations with Black Lives Matter supporters. The clashes happened during another weekend of turmoil and unrest across America. #InsideEdition

You did not hear the question and the longer remark of her. - The assumption was people would sometimes resort to stealing if they cannot afford what they need on a daily base. I think most people can grasp the underlying concept (does not mean they agree, but it is not irrational).
the killing of a child has nothing to do with grocery needs of families _of course she did not mean THAT and only bad faith actors would present it that way._ - I think no one would agree with the assumption that the killing of the child had anything to do with shoplifting. it is ridiculous to pretend you believe her to be so stupid.

That aligns with the confrontation by Ted Yoho, maybe he hoped to get her on camera saying something impolite or rash or angry. Well that backfired.
A kind of planned campaign maybe: first let's pretend that she excused killing a child by people that can't pay for food.
Then Yoho should go and aggressively challenge her pretending that he thinks she said that. (or he consumes Fox and believes their edited footage).
Then let's hope she slips up, so they have footage to show.
He wouldn't go public with the footage if he secretly recorded it, it wouldn't do him favors. And it would also reveal he was not overcome by passion as he claimed in his lame non-apology, but had tried to entrap her. Wouldn't look good for him.
and then there was the story in April 2019 from Hugo, Oklahoma (near TX border, maybe that explains it). 3 out of 4 children shot by police (victims age 1 - 5, plus the suspect was harmed). Cops suspected that a man driving a car had committed an unarmed robbery _one month ago_ in a Pizza Hut (there was footage, not sure if it was him, they suspected it and likely followed him. for some reason they were unwilling to wait until he got home or parked the car).
The suspected crime was in the the past, no weapon then (or when they arrested him) = no immediate danger. He had his gf and 4 children in the car. Police shot into the slowly moving vehicle "as they tried to make contact".
This was not a car chase btw. I guess they either wanted to scare him or did not mind killing him. Or passengers. Or were too dumb to check out if someone else was in the car, too (2 adults and 4 kids ? I'll call that a crowd). Not that they should shoot into a car even if there is no family.
The suspect was also hit.
On the flip side - no one was killed. counting the blessings ....
Did I mention it was unarmed robbery (and likely not even a large amount) .....
