- The quest for a free-range oryx in one of the largest ranches in New Mexico yields a unique old bull.
I have traveled to the remotest corners of the planet, in pursuit of my passion for fair chase big game hunting, trophy hunting, and conservation. Many are unaware of the vital role a trophy hunter plays in game management and conservation. When game has value, it's protected and its habitat preserved. Hunters bring vital resources to many parts of the world that help the local communities which in turn, protects the local wildlife from poaching. Hunting is an ancient sport that has become a valuable tool of conservation.
Join me on this remarkable quest. The quest of a big game hunter around the globe, exploring the incredible lands and the amazing animals that inhabit them. Experience the thrill of free-range rifle hunting for the big 5, the most difficult mountain animals, and the most unique species around the world.
In the heart of a hunter lies compassion, courage, and honor.

I shot an oryx in New Mexico last week best hunt i have ever been on. Beautiful animals great video. We have big elk bulls also when your interested.
congrats on the oryx and it was such a incredible place to hunt them. a true fair chase hunt for sure. please send me info on your elk hunts when you get a chance .👍
Nice oryx, but horrible not waiting for the animal to clear behind him before shooting. Where did you learn to hunt?!
I don’t think he ever learned!
I hope others that have a coveted NM oryx tag watch this video for exactly what NOT to do. The other animals were too close, especially the one directly behind the target animal. While it appears the bullet didn't pass through, for all intents and purposes that was a perfect recipe for two wounded oryx. Also, shot placement is horrible. While it doesn't appear so because the animal dropped in its tracks, note it's still breathing when he walks up. Oryx spines dive toward their throat from years of evolution where lions hop on the back and bite for the spine. He threaded the needle and actually hit the spine. 99 times out of 100, this leads to many miles of tracking without recovering the animal. Do better.
I agree, horrible shot placement, he got exceptionally lucky.
Don't like the fact that another Bull standing directly behind that one!! Not a very ethical hunter in my book!!
the angle of the camera was different than where i was !! the bull was clear when i took the shot.
Oryx in New Mexico, you learn something new everyday! I have been fortunate enough to hunt the impressive antelope in Namibia!
A fantastic place to hunt it. Oryx in the desert of New Mexico is a great conservation story.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful old bull!
Thanks mike!!! A very unique set of horns. Great hunt in some amazing country.
Yes sir!!! Great place.
Oryx was the meat of the Pharos.
Awesome stuff keep it coming
Thank you my friend. Looking forward to to sharing many more adventures!!!
My first thought was that this guide is probably so annoyed to be prepared with camo, and his hunter shows up in solid black. Also mentioned how hot it was. What a fool. Then he shot while there was another animal directly behind. They all laugh and pretend that it was executed perfectly. Just awful lol. And the music…
lot to unpack here. had my kryptek camo and gear but my bag did not make it and had only two days to hunt!! hunted with the clothes i flew in with and yes it was hot!!
the shot angle that the camera captured is different than my angle with gun.
i have hunted more than most and would not take a shot without a clear background.
the bull was clear from my angle and it was a clean one shot kill on a very tough animal.
this was one of the first videos we did and hope the music choices have improved.
it was a amazing free range hunt !!
Armendariz ranch.
