Unfortunately, both of these tools are new to me. I am pretty much restricting myself to using these 2 for the next month (maybe some supplements from enner and cosmos) so I can get a handle on them. So far, it's been a fun experience with both!
Abyss! Great, that S4 seems very versatile, it can be a thousand things, a great sampler! Then I have a weakness for glassy sounds, I have some in the Brains by Behringer, they recently did an update with the sounds of the Yamaha DX-7!
Oooo I can't wait to see what you do with the new capability! I have some very sinister and spooky running in the S4 currently. I'm processing the Lyra live, but I have loaded my oddment audio sample pack up, and it is a phenomenal piece of equipment to work with. It still is not a complete instrument and needs a lot more development, but as it stands, it's an incredible sound scaping machine
Thanks, mate! This is still early tinkering with the S4. It needs some more time in the oven before it is ready for prime time imo. For the style of audio I do, it's really great even at this firmware.
Yeah..... this is great for ambient stuff at the moment. It just hasn't been cooked enough to make it a banger for most people. The next firmware drop is slated for June, I'm not sure what's going to be in it other than the midi clock sync and transport. We really need that at a minimum. I am happy to have one now, so I can learn it in its infancy, but I don't think this is ready for prime time quite yet. I'll consider myself to be a beta tester that paid Hella money for the unexpected role lol Other than the lack of features and actual granular utilities (one engine with limited controls), I actually love working with it a lot and it's easy to get sucked into a time warp with it.
nothing like the right tools for the right job.
