that's why I was so happy when the Knicks played their ass off for that 2 seed. The longer we can avoid the Celtics and let other teams beat them up or maybe just maybe even beat them, the better it is for the Knicks.
Since the Knicks had the tiebreaker over the cavs, if the Cavs won they would have been the 3 seed not the 2 seed, but that helps your case even more cause the whole point of purposefully losing to the hornets was to avoid embid/butler, but it didn't end up mattering. That kind of stuff angers me as a Cavs fan myself.
they would've been second if the Knicks lost cause we lost to the bucks and a 3 way tie eliminates head to head for the second seed cause of them winning the division then the Knicks and bucks goes off to head to head for third out east which the bucks has over them. but if the Knicks won the Cavs could've been the third seed which is still better then being 4th

I disagree with the claim that the cavs are limiting their ceiling by losing the game against the Hornets. If the end goal is to win it all, the cavs would (most likely) have to play the Celtics in the 3rd round if they don’t play them in the 2nd. I don’t think it’s limiting a ceiling if you think the limiting factor is something that they will have to face regardless.

Even though I’m a Pels fan, I really want to see the Celtics get over that hump. I already seen some of my favorite players win it, such as Jokic, Giannis, Jrue, Jamal, Steph, and others.
I really want Jason Tatum to win and finally get his championship. I wouldn’t mind the Nuggets repeating and I wouldn’t mind Kwahi getting another championship either. If Luka ends up winning that’ll be hype also.
With Zion out and BI still recovering it’ll be hard for them even if we win today, however, so many great teams in the playoffs this year. It has the potential to be one of the best playoffs in a while.

As a Cavs fan I completely agree with you and I’ve been sick of JB ever since his rotations last season. And people were calling me crazy that they should’ve hired Ime Udoka when he was available but now we get to see this Charmin soft mentality that we need to lose on purpose to face the Magic or Pacers in the first round just for a playoff win.

as a cavs fan i can say there is changes to be made, me have made great moves in the last few years but winning a chip is not in our close future we have players who can perform i think strus was a good pick up but we lack bench depth and defense with our guards bc of how small we are. we lack consistency we need darius garland to bloom even further with him being someone who can dish out a good amount of dimes and also be good in pick in roll or 1 on 1 situations, i see what we tried to do in marcus morris i think it would be great to have stretch bigs but we pick up the most random people through the season and it never helps the reason the nuggets won is bc they had consistency along side 2 star players and thats what is valued

What Kenny said about the Cavaliers, that’s why I said JB Bickerstaff made a big mistake in that season finale against the Hornets, and I had many raging mental breakdowns by repeatedly banging angrily on my desk and my bed as a result. Heck, I’m still, to this day, disappointed in Cleveland when they blew that 26-point lead against the Clippers on April 7th, and I couldn’t calm down for that entire week.

Cavs actually wouldve been the 3 seed because the Knicks won their final game and wouldve had more wins. Knicks ended with 50, cavs with 48
It’s the Celtics and if they don’t win it that’s going to be very detrimental to there future .
If they lose they can just reup again next season but this SHOULD be the year for them
Celtics window is more than just this year. Their entire top 8 rotation is signed through next year. Beyond that, they'd have to make some decisions with White and Horford for the 25-26 season and give Tatum his supermax. But, at a minimum their current core has this year and next year.

i got philly, i think Kyle Lowry can somewhat slow down Brunson, Lowry at his old age is still a good defender on pgs around his size, he gonna hustle, and he's gonna make it tough on Brunson, that's all you can ask for when guarding a guy like Brunson. He's gonna get his own fs, but Lowry will make it tough for him.

As a Sixers fan the biggest question for us is can Joel Embiid stay healthy and play like his dominant self for 4 rounds? If he can I would take us against anybody, but if he plays like he did on Wednesday I don't think we get past the first round.
I didn't think Miami was aggressive enough going at Embiid defensively in screen and roll and making him move so maybe the Knicks will try to actually go at him a bit with Brunson who is a master of pick n roll rn
They did attack Joel Embiid, Tyler Herro just missed shots, there is a reason why Tyler went 9 for 27 in this game and only got going in the 4th quarter but you are right Brunson should be able to attack Joel Embiid better.
