I'm out walking one autumn day in New York during Covid height, and as I'm nearing one of those outdoor "huts" that Restaurants were allowed to build outdoors, I noticed a table of four people, three chubby girls and one guy, whi was Sean O'Pry. As with every male model I have ever encountered here (as compared to the unrecognizable girls), yhey look like they look. So there's this guy sitting there with three overweight girls (cousins?) looking just like Sean O'Pry looks. Only later do I run the bio in mind; I have just passed by the most expensive boy model ever. Ever. No one had dominated the male world of fashion modeling for so long, for so mant years. Gandy and Jon were around in 2008. So, # 1-2-3, and they're all still at the top of their game. Still at the top of THE game. I think Sean O'Pry might just topple the accolades of Lauren Hutton. He has quite a long way to go to match her longevity and continuing relevance, but surely he has hundreds of Magazine covers and zillions of images out there. Personally, I think Gandy is iconic, but Jon Kortajarina is the uber male model, the GOAT. He and Jon are both "man with a thousand faces," but Jon's is the one you remember. Plus, Jon's advantage beyond print, is that he can rock the hell our of a catwalk.
