    People hate on those dash mats but in SoCal where the temp can reach 120 outside and 150+ inside a car I’m sure it helps keep the dash from melting like in my Camry , yes the front dash on my 2017 Camry has a dash dent from the sun

    • @TahoeMacedon
      @TahoeMacedon  Před 4 lety +3

      it is expensive but its all about the demand and the availability. this genuine rear emblem had a honda price od around $40. it took me weeks to get one at a decent price. there are only 3 or less resellers that sell them now for $80 each or up and honda info says discontinued. I got mine for $60(rear) and $25 for both sides. u can also get non genuine simular for $15-20 or a stickler for less. its all about the quality. if u get the HFP full package u get them included in the package. nowadays honda won't give them to u unless u get the complete HFP package for around 3-4 grand. cheers

    • @TahoeMacedon
      @TahoeMacedon  Před 4 lety +4

      actually the hfp kit is not a real upgrade. the accord sport has the side skirt from factory and only the front and the rear underbody were installed. The accord sport has most of the hfp things factory. suspension was done but its honda oem. i plan on keeping the vehicle for a long time. the accord is not a racer style vehicle to me. its a family smooth sleek sedan. speed and durability don't go together. the things i changed have practical purpose, not just visual. there is no reason for me to waste $$ on wheels, turbo kits, intakes, loud exhaust, tinting windshields, upgrades typical for the teenagers or lowering it so it can get damaged. i am not that old but i prefer durability/longevity over showing off and than moving on the next vehicle. wheels, oh man i see so many people keep buying wheels and changing them like they dont know what they want. the 19" that came with the vehicle will look good a decade from now because they follow the vehicle lines and shape. i prefer the vehicle not to stand out but to be more humble and in the back. also i am past the teenager hormones when vehicles are roaring for attention. cheers

I live in a small city and not even noticing or bothered when using the manual transmission. at one point I was thinking of getting manual trans EX-L trim or something like that and to add some of the parts that the Sport trim has. I dont need sunroof , touchscreen or any other extra bs. some people enjoy using the manual shifter and some consider it annoying. cheers

      the front underbody spoilers make the car look better and more complete. I couldn't find the rear for a decent price up until the 4th video. and I had to remove the rear mud flaps/mud guards in order to install the rear underbody spoilers. • @TahoeMacedon

    What is the Honda Factory Performance suspension package and did it make the ride a whole lot smoother. How much was the package.

    • @TahoeMacedon
      @TahoeMacedon  Před 5 lety

      HFP package is only for the accord coupe v6 but i was able to get it installed on my sedan. the HFP package was around $4300 before installation costs. as i remember the HFP package had some interior upgrades such as illumination, hfp floor mats, side, front and rear spoiler, hfp wheels, hfp badges, HFP suspension...the HFP suspension(adaptive damper system) helps with the handling and what i was told the car is slighly lowered. the price as i recall was between 1200 - $1700 installed. some honda models such as the civic si with HFP also gets a reprogrammed ecu or something like that. cheers

    • @TahoeMacedon
      @TahoeMacedon  Před rokem +2

      probably the main reason is that this trim is for people who prefer simplicity. using a key to start the car is more classic way to do it, cheaper too and a sunroof will increase the car weight and lower the rigidity. the more cuts in the body equals to higher vehicle “twists” on uneven road surfaces or when cornering. the more sensors there are and more vehicle is assisting with the drive, the lower driving experience is

      not a fan of touch screen bs and other unnecessary technology including the driver assist for people that are lazy or cant drive. you may install a touch screen unit at any time with a lot of options including digital tv etc but I purchased the manual accord for real driving experience and not touchscreens. nowadays all car manufacturers just add bigger and more touchscreens so they can easily fool the consumers. any touchscreen system outdates very fast so having a phone on a phone holder in the vehicle is more than enough. and I always prefer physical buttons than the over sensitive touch screen technology. cheers

      Yeah i was thinking that too I recently got a 2015 sport with a manual trans with 36k on it for 16k. Which wasn’t a steal but it wasn’t a bad deal and I couldn’t be happier with it, pissed I don’t have heated seats though

      @@steeventide parts made out of real carbon fiber by using molds can be very expensive and in this case unnecessary. as an example a piece of 6x4 inches made out of multiple layers of carbon fiber and than covered with a resin goes for $100 and up. I got the piece for 2013 civic manual trans shift bezel and it was around $150. the dash kit on the accord is real carbon fiber sheet (one sheet only, not multiple layers) covered with a shiny resin, cut by laser measurements and double sided 3m tape on the one side. the difference compared to a wrap or something else is very obvious. I got around 40pcs and if all these were direct replacement parts made out of carbon fiber the bill would of been at least 10 times. cheers

      u can get it done the right way by professionals in a shop and get a lifetime warranty if something goes wrong later or gamble and allow a local guy to do it cheaper. the ceramic tint is usually $100 plus compared to the other film.

      @TahoeMacedon  Před 5 lety +1

      @@joeljaipersaud I did. I wanted to get the pre cut but the way those pieces are cut is not the way a tint shop does it, especially the edges. also the tint shop where I went uses guaranteed high quality 3M ceramic tint and first they had to remove the cheap (purple) film that was on the car from the previous owner and the glue too and than reapply the ceramic. it also comes with a lifetime warranty, great quality job and no bubbles at all. I did few vehicles at the same shop and it definitely worth it. doing it on your own with pre cut will save u atleast 50% but without any experience a person may mess up or some imperfections may appear later. cheers

      zz mkd my cousin does professional tints so he helped me to install the professional way and the precut tint was a perfect cut even he was surprised that they give the prefect amount to over lap the the bottom of windows etc.

    • @TahoeMacedon
      @TahoeMacedon  Před 3 lety +4

      buying a canadian version is not that hard as u think. but the asian version has more add-ons. why I didn't go for the Canadian version is because that version is more conservative with things on the car that I dont need or probably never use and the Canadian version is taking a direction that I would call soft sport. the canadian version goes towards the exl trim here in the US and I dont like the bs things honda has on the exl trim. simplicity is better for me. if you think that the dash cover, additional usb charging ports, tinted windows, dash kit, edge guards, window visors, tweeters and other stuff are useless than let be it, maybe u feel better now. cheers
