You left one dude off: young cat with name of Lill
This was quite literally the fastest minute I've ever experienced, enjoyable for EVERY second, then it was abruptly and surprisingly over. The saddest part was when I realized it was finished. Jaw dropping surprise! So glad that replay's are free, or I'd be in trouble!
Boy o boy ibet that just might be the finest commercial that EVER existed for Anderson Guitarworks~🙏🙏❣️ TY and God Bless sir
Jim I miss your videos!
Why’d you stop posting? What happened to all your country guitar tip videos?
Just spotted this, Looking forward to hearing from / hearing Jim again.
Off fishing now, a Jim video when I get back. The day is looking good.
Hey Jim...
Just would like you to know that I appreciate all the effort y'all put in during the shutdown...
Thanks
miss you man
So glad you included Pete Anderson!
It would be really cool if you did a video on ALL of Nashville’s finest pickers over the years and go a little bit more in-depth on their styles
He has, but he took down the video. He went through some of the most prominent pickers from the 50s all the way to Brad Paisley in the 2000s and Chris Stapleton on his song "Nobody to Blame". If only I could find it still. A good video when it was out
Solid, gotta have some Pete Anderson
I have to say, this is the first video I have seen that highlights country guitar players. Plus the brush burning in the background is the perfect setting.
Brent will always be the goat imo. Nothing will ever beat those AJ solos. I don't even know your name is still my favourite decades later.
I was hoping you put Jimmy Olander on here 👍
That James Burton tone was killer!
Fantastic
I’m going to like this even though I never saw Steve Wariner’s name pop up!
Well done as always, Jim!
Awesome playing here! Love those country tones and licks!
the production, and playing, on your vids is unreal. keep it up!
Happy to see Charlie Worsham made the list!
That was fantastic man!!
That was one helluva backyard burner
Awesome
This boys on fire son....... 🔥
Amazing! Your such a cool dude, congratulations 🎊 keep up it up man!
Just what I needed to brighten up my quarantine day.
Short, and to the point. Excellent playing!
Really like your videos... thx.
Hoping you're well. Missing your helpful and very well done videos! I love country music and "good tone" although I live in Spain and here is difficult to approach this kind of music. Take care!
That was amazing!!!
Awesome!
These are such amazing skills...man you are truly rockin....all thumbs up...wow
More!
That was Awesome, I have enjoyed most all your video's got a few more to watch. The series on Tone is the Ship (wink) learned tonns, Your edits are very Good. Keep it up . . .
Great!!!!! I love Your's kind of a feel!!!!!
A big HELL YEAH for Jimmy Olander !!! Great video sir
GREAT video.
Love!
You play supersonic! And at the end of the video I was afraid you'd burn your guitars, WHEW! ;-)
totally enjoyable. I listened through twice. My fave is Luther Perkins, next is Roy Nicholls, followed by Peter Anderson and a few more on as honorable mention.
I have watched this so many times, can't get over the talent that this young man displays... awesome abilities...!
Wow, smokin!! I would love to see a lesson on that Brent Mason style!
very cool!
I know it's not strictly country, but I feel like you would enjoy some early 70s Grateful Dead!
I love your 'no messing about' attitude
Damn dude... that was spot on, especially the Vince Gill. Maybe do a 'country version' of Rock Players. Would love to hear how Randy Rhoads would pick on a tune...
The dudester Harry Miree on the cans! Great list.
Holy shit! Slow down!!! You got almost all of them in there 💪🏻💪🏻
Love it Jim I was a friend of JTs.
Hows it going man. i was going wild trying to find this channel for a few days.. Figured i was still subbed but kept searching for "Nashville recording Home Studio" to no avail. Was able to remember the name "Jim" in my sub list haha. Did you take down the behind the scenes type of videos where you talk about the logistics of making a studio?
lol how does this not have more views . fire
Excellent... really needed some Zach Brown in there for perfection.
Hell yeah!!!!
Ngl, I’m worried that Jim died. It’s almost been a year and I haven’t even heard a podcast from him. Hope you’re okay dude. Been thinking about you often. Good luck. I really hope you’re Alive.
I'm not really a country music fan, but your playing is impressive. Cool video!
Sometimes We Only See How People Are Different. But If We Look Hard Enough, You Can See How Much We're All Alike."
Great video/playing. I would have made it 16 to include the late, great Eddy Shaver !!
I only knew like three of the guitar players mentioned but good job
God, I miss JT!
Damn I love your country pick'n. I play metal and hard rock, but those country licks are what I'd pull out during my duel with the Devils guitar lackey.
Dang, that was a lot of work for a 1 min and 22 second vid! Thumbs up for the Diamond Rio Riff!
Love John Jorgenson's list of hits he's been on. Same for Brent mason. Albert Lee?
amazing...I would just add Albert Lee
Hot damn!
Hey Jim! Miss seeing your vids man! I wanted to ask you if that Anderson is a Hollow T classic in transparent butterscotch?
I'm looking at a very similar one now setup with 3 pickups, nashville-style tele. Think the main reason I'm drawn to it, is because of yours!
we love you
Very Nice! You had me sold when Mr Gill's name popped up! How did you short-list it to only 15?? Though for my personal taste, one of them does not belong on the same list as those great players! That's music hey. haha. Love it, thanks dude. Off to check out the rest of your channel now.
This just makes me want to quit playing guitar lol -- you are amazingly good. Someone needs to invent a talent pedal.
keep that fire in back going ...I might as well toss all my crap in there !
Great list I would've defo added Albert Lee and Guthrie trapp though 😁
Good stuff! How could you leave out Reggie Young?
Only one minute?! Come on dude!!! :D
Glad to see Pete Anderson on your list however, what about Don Rich? Jerry Reed? Roy Clark?
Go Jim 😀 !!!
Love your channel, do you write songs too?
What happened to all the lessons and other videos?
God Bless
Hope you are okay
Why haven't I seen this in 3 years?! *_I blame Kanye & that RAP MUSIC,_* 😆 You're awesome bub! We need to reconnect soon and say howdy!
What pick ups are you using in that tele?.... Is that a strat style pickup in the neck?
Where do I learn to play like this?
sounds like you're using drum samples instead of live drums now. Your mixing has improved. Nice playing too.
Ah! bubbling nitro and the smell of burning tolex.
Nice picking!
You reminded me to burn my brush fire pile. I can 🔥 my brush fire pile every bit as good as you can! Pick country lead guitar as skillfully and tastefully good as you....? Not so much.
When someone takes "firewood of a guitar" too literally. 🔥🤔
Sick guitar tones
So where does the country tone come from? The state you live in? Your family upbringings? How much fried chicken did you eat to assist with the chicken pickin?
I need some deep dive answers
Serious note: love your stuff
Clicked on this video thinking: If he doesn't include Jimmy Olander I'm gonna throw a fit.
He included Jimmy Olander. Smiling. No fit.
Johnny Hiland should be on here, Redd Volkaert as well
Wish Eddy Shaver made the list! But oh well loved it anyway
Eddie was my favorite. He would have been my pick before his death.
Some people pile on (not sayin you) the accolades only when someone passes.
Hey, what happened to your video on songs in 6/8? Did you delete some of your old streams off your channel?
What happened to all the livestreams? :( I came back to watch the Nickel Creek cover I requested
Amazing! I'd love to see the TAB.
Albert Lee, Jimmy Bryant, Chet... . .
Where did you go?
NICE!! BUT YOU FORGOT BILLY RAE CYPRESS
That’s nice. Now what can YOU play?
What about Albert Lee and Brent Mason?
don't forget to tab it like we asked for in the chat, mate.
Man....quite impressive. I wanted to hear more of each. Maybe next time give us 15 minutes.
Pretty sure he died 🫡
I concur!
Agreed
And add in Don Rich, too!
