Hello buddy, sorry to hear you’ve got shingles. I’ve suffered this twice. Once when I was 21. Second time when I was a rather bit older (22). I wish. You’ve got to let it run its course normally 3-4 weeks. Most contagious when the scabs are falling off. Do not scratch, I’ve been there. Don’t scratch. No baths. Keep dry . Keep well buddy
Hi Rick how you get better soon. I had shingles about 4 years ago had at top of my leg and mine blistered before it got better. I was off work 5-6 weeks. I had stressful job admin for nhs. It’s not a nice illness. They have injections for it in uk now to try and stop people getting it x

I had that Rick 6 yrs ago. Caring for my mam who was battling cancer. She passed last September. It's definitely stress related. Mine were on my face and head and eyes. You need to isolate away from vulnerable people because it's highly contagious. Mind yourself and take care. I'm still a backgrounder 😂 Love your new home. I had shingles last October, the waves are the nerve endings. The Dr gave me 5 days anti viral pills but they must be taken as soon as spots come out. Pain lasted 2ish weeks. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Rick, I had it for a year on my back. Felt like I had a broken rib. I had to use large numbing patches. It's actually a nerve problem. Take care, wonderful you got to see the doctor so quickly. If it goes near your eyes, go back immediately. Get well soon.
Hi Rick, yes I’ve had it too, your correct in your description of it, I had it on my neck , I thought it was perhaps a reaction after shaving, 🪒 it’s like a pounding wave , it’s there for a second , on the Richter scale 8, then it’s down to Normal , I think I just got tablets , I was off a week, in fact I went back too soon and I went off again , I don’t know though why it picks what part of the body, ie Eye, head , neck etc , I don’t know how I got it, low down and stress they say, you have been busy though, even though you were enjoying it at the time, take it easy now , hope the tablets and cream help. A work colleague of mine caught shingles, I heard all about the suffering she endured. Hers was mainly in the head area and seem to reoccur after it went after 3-4 weeks. Needless to say after watching her suffer I took the plunge and went and had the Shingles vaccine.
Sorry to hear about the shingles,and you may not think you were stressed with this move,but you were,even if it’s in a good way,it’s still stress.I got mine after I fell,and fractured my hip,I had recovered,gone back to work,and noticed I had a pain in my knee for about two weeks,then one morning there were the blisters all over my knee, and I had a patch on my back,luckily for me I didn’t find mine all that painful,more of a burning sensation,I would wring out a cold wet towel,and put it on the knee,the patch on my back didn’t bother me much.As you are able to go out in the sun,I think you may also be one of the lucky ones,some people don’t seem to be able to move when they get it.Hope you will be better soon.😊

Shingles is very serious. I’m awaiting my Shingle’s jag. You are probably too young but now you have it you may get it. B12 is made in your body near the end of your intestines. Since I had mine removed I need to get a dose every 3 months. Try not to itch your head.
I actually remember getting chicken pox. I was 5. This was years before any vaccine for chicken pox. I remember the rash. But I was never sick enough to have had bedrest during. But, of course, now I think about shingles!!! 😮
I've had it twice on the left side of my back the pain was unbelievable it was like someone hitting me with baseball bat was of work for 3 weeks hope you are ok 👍
Sorry to hear about your shingles. I had it and it is painful. As an outsider I can see you are very stressed whether or not you want to admit it to yourself. I won't put all the things that are obvious as it is not fair on you to put them on your channel.
Think it is a combination of both stress and your immune system being low. Easy to say less stress, but chill, and hopefully it will improve soon for you. Enjoy the time with the girls.

I had shingles a good few years ago, on my scalp ( the crown) it was a thick crust so i thought id had a reaction to shampoo, i had a large area that was a giant scab but it was the headaches that wouldnt go away , plus felt like there was something running around and crushing my scalp internally. Long story but i was convinced after 7/8 days that i had a brain growth. I saw a dr and he warned me to get emergency treatment if it went into my eyes, it did and again i had to get emergency treatment as i wore up part blind with swollen forehead and eyes. So please if it in any way affects your eyes , get emergency treatment. Get well soon

OH had it wasn't given B12 as he has injections every 3 weeks, he had antihistamine tabs and cream for the pain. Shingles affects the nerve endings, can last for months and is extremely painful. He kept thinking it had gone, and then out of the blue it would come back. Take care feeling for you, but our health service is as you say first class.
Rick, just because you dont feel stressed doesent mean "youre not stressed" . Try get a good old fashion TONIC into you, its basically all the B Vits alot of B12 and iron also. Glad you have enjoyed youre family time, you will be back going 90 in no time Pal😅
Recovery…..how long is a piece of string. Both Mel and my son have had shingles and they can be extremely painful. They also reoccur so you could get them again at any time, luckily you’re not contagious. Be careful in the sun though that can irritate them. Children are a godsend and a stress, but where would we be without them. Love Rolo he’s a wonderful dog. Take care and don’t stress it.
Ahh sorry to hear about the shingles Rick. A friend once had this and the rash was down right hand rib cage. Not nice at all and will go on its own accord. It defo is stress related, perhaps you have been suppressing your stress! You def have had a lot on your plate even going back to when you gave up your job at Dylans, if u think back its prob been brewing for a while and this is how it presents itself ! I went to the doctors and he prescribed nothing he said it had to run it’s course just take paracetamols if you need them, your GP’s seem to be much better than ours. Mine took about three weeks to clear up and luckily enough left no scarring. Hope you get better soon and take care

Urgh its awful,im a cancer patient who is severely immuno surpressed and i got shingles it took7 weeks for it to go as i cant fight anything off so it spread rapidly,the pain was horrendous i was in bed so ill with it. I hope yours doesn't last that long!

Hi I'm a new sub I too had shingles on my scalp I could touch my head on the right side I'd been to the on call doctor I said couldn't be shingles he said no he gave me some tablets and lotion to rub in to myhead that was a Saturday on the Monday I phoned doctors and I got a call back from the doc and I told him my head js painful to tough and he said js jt on the left side I said no the right he said he had had a man phone in he had shingles on his left side the doctor gave me some tablets that really worked I had the pain go down the tight side of my head too i wouldn't wish shingles on anybody I think its the worse pain going love fran sthelens England
Hope you get over it soon Rick. Listen to the professionals and let the body do its thing. Sometimes we need to slow down, even if we think we are going at a speed that is manageable. Changing house whilst you think was exciting, can also take its toll on the body. Also, living at an higher altitude can be a cause. Either way take it easy!
I had it , it came on my chin and I went Tesco pharmacy counter and said I think I have shaving rash or something and she said go your doctor cleared up in two weeks

I think if you get it, you get it you got it. it is to do with your immune system. Do you take multivitamin every day? Might be worth trying anyway after yourself. Take care.

Xoviraz tablets are good for shingles but only on prescription, bath is bycabonated soda for the blisters you take care get well soon xxx

Hi Rick, just watched your vlog finding out you have shingles I’ve had it twice side of my face and my waist very painful but I was never stressed. I’m not a stressful person. I think if you get it, you get it you got it. it is to do with your immune system. Do you take multivitamin every day? Might be worth trying anyway after yourself. Take care.

O rick i had shingles when i was 19 nasty my father in law as well im 74 now k have b12 inje tions every 12 weeks also we had shingles inje tion ay 70 take care yes it will run its course mine was around middle if i temember
