We started a peace process with them and they got a state so they can govern themselves. In return they increased the terror attacks and started launching rockets at civilians in Israel. Israel *never* provoked Hamas to attack and if like some are trying to claim we were looking for a reason to attack we had reasons so many times before. It's because of the iron dome that Israel was able not to retaliate to most of the attacks.
