- Sometimes we can be tempted to believe the bigger life gets the better life is. Perhaps this is a mindset that leads to the trap of sacrificing everything for the sake of our dreams. But what is a dream worth?
This independence weekend is earmarked by a talk titled, “Stop Following Your Dreams” where Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. challenges us to rework a dream-chaser mentality into a heart that desires to be in relationship with God above all else.
Although God wants us to enjoy all the good gifts that he has provided for us, he also wants to know if we will place these created things at the center of our lives. As we go on this faith journey, our faith will be tested. But we can always find the answer when we honor Jesus as more than enough. Remember, the center seat is always meant for the Creator himself.

One day you might.... there's no "see if your dreams are in alignment with God" ... that's BS. If you're constantly dreaming about becoming the best singer or you love singing and it makes you happy, then that's what God made you to be...a Singer! So you pursue that by creating a plan on how you'll master your craft and you keep going until you become that person! God is waiting on YOUR plan before he'll start helping you. You can't steer an 18 wheeler truck if it's not moving. God is waiting on you to take a step of faith and start pursuing something before he steers you towards when you're supposed to be. If you listen to this pastor and stop then God too will stop. Humans have everything we need in us already from birth. If you were born then it's because God already had a plan for your life and all you have to do is just listen to your heart and gut about what makes you happy in life and pursue that. It's not rocket science...life isn't as complicated as this pastor is making it. It really is just as simple as following your intuition and seeing where it takes you. If you're in a relationship with God and persistent about what you want, he'll steer you AFTER you get moving. If you want to be an actor you don't just dream about it and pray about it....you do something like...move across the country to Los Angeles and leave everything behind to pursue that dream. When God sees you making that BIG move of faith just to do what makes you happy, only THEN can he start steering you into the right people and opportunities. At that point you've started to live life. No need to worry about when you'll make it because you know you will if you keep at it.
So yes, this pastor is wrong!!! And this message isn't from God! I don't need to watch the whole thing because an unbeliever won't even watch the whole thing. This is why everyone is running away from God and Jesus! Religious messages like this! You nuts how many people have become successful from listening to their heart and following their dreams!? Look at celebrities today and study their life.
@@TheAJCheetah I read your whole message and I see what you're saying. But if I've gained the whole world and have not God I have nothing. If I want to become a singer and I take all the right steps and I become a successful singer but then it isn't God's perfect will I won't be happy. There's permissive will and perfect will. I want to be in God's perfect well. And I will know if it's His will or not by being in a relationship with Him.

Religion makes life decisions like following your dreams, that should be the easiest thing a human can read about themselves, way more complicated and confusing than they should be! We're here to do what we want in out heart that makes us Happy. And the thing us, God put those desires of what makes you happy in your heart. So Nike is doing a better job than this church and the "church" in general!! Every human in earth is supposed to follow their dreams,.... that's what we're here for. We're not here for Religion! Jesus came to save us so we could follow his mindset of living on Earth. Once we get that mindset, life becomes less complicated and you won't be confused.
