    I always looked at it as, him wanting to do the whole fight over again without damaging the mural, which is why he took a breath before the mural got fixed up again.

      That makes the most sense! He clearly holds that mural dear to him especially if it has the same meaning as in arcane! Ty for watching :)

      @@yureigray5561 Yeah Arcane definitely played into it with the Mural and Clagger. So much of what Arcane is is the same as all these old video's but just a bit different. Like the when and how of characters getting things or fighting for the first time might be different but the overall is still the same.
      VI will almost certainly still end up an Enforcer but the feeling of it will definitely be different thanks to the story being more fleshed out and focused on being an actual story.

    Despite being able to undo physical effects on his body, Ekko retains some residual effects over the rewind, including physical pain and mental fatigue. His cognitive age does not change over the course of rewinding

    • @georgieegames
      @georgieegames  Před 2 lety +8

      Oh I see! Yeah that did come across in the video but makes sense! I find that intriguing though as I think it really humanises his abilities! Thanks for watching :)

      @redroseibarahime8755 Před 2 lety +9

      @@georgieegames yeah while Ekko still sustains some damage during the rewind he can learn from his mistakes because his mind is not rewinded -but his body position and everything else (excerpt for the enemy in the game but here in the teaser he also rewinded the enemy's body as well). If you look closely to the rewinding device (z-drive), you can recognize the container already in Arcane - Ekko kept the gemstone in it ^^. I suppose Heimerdinger will help him developing the rest of the z-drive :D
      You are absolutely right about Ekko being a foil to Jinx - he is the path Powder could have chosen if she didn't jump into Silco's arms and get influenced by him. When they meet at the bridge, Jinx says to Ekko "Oh look who it is...the BOY SAVIOUR" in a bitter and mocking way. I was wondering if there is more to it and it turns outr yes! We will most likely see it in the next season or maybe they tell this in a music video like they did with enemy (but I think this is far too important as to just clip it in a separate video...)

    There is a quite sad but also very wholesome story for Ekko on the league universe page. In it his hard working, poorly payed parents come home from their dangerous and hazardous job in the mines with a little surprise gift. They saved some of the little money they make to buy a sweet cake for his birthday, which he himself totally forgot. He rehearced all day the way he would tell them that he didn't want to apply to a piltovan school, even so his parents want him to have a better life than they have with his bright intellect (similar to Victor's and Skye's story. Piltover's academy does seem to give chances to talented young Zaunites ... funny, in Arcane the academy in form of Heimerdinger came to him hahaha).
    He wants to share his little cake with them, but they lie that they already ate a tasty meal at work. Then he helps them take off their shoes, while they break down into their chairs, completely exhausted from the straining work. Already half asleep his mom calls him their little genius, while his dad tousles through his mohawk.
    He watches them sleep and notices how much faster they aged under their working conditions. He couldn't bring himself to tell them about his plans and shatter their dream of a better future for him in the upper city.
    He then turns back time to the moment his parents arrived at home and starts the conversation again. Then again. And again. Wishing this moment could last forever, he doesn't change a single thing, until he is too exhausted to continue and falls asleep aswell. Just making the most out of every given moment and cherishing the rare time he can spend with his family, Ekko really takes his own words to heart.
    In Arcane it's left unclear if his parents are still alive. As for the league cannon with Renata Glasc's release, it has been confirmed again, that his parents are still alive, working in the mines.
    Since all in Arcane is about family, I'd be surprised if they were revealed to be dead in season 2. The authors do seem to want them be his core motivation to change Zaun for the better, instead of being just a revenge driven orphan, who wants to defeat an evil opressor with his friends.
    It's like Vi without Powder, leaving out a character's core drive changes them completely, but Arcane Ekko is too similar to league Ekko, for his back story to be much different.

    Ekko becomes a plot device if he gets the Z-Drive, and his “sword”, he was already top tier fighter without his complete kit. If he does get it, it will be closer to the end of the season.

      Though they could also put it at the start and just make him a much bigger character. His newfound powers warping the story along with the heightened power levels of everyone else due to conflict.

    • @greywarden5513
      @greywarden5513 Před rokem

      I wouldn’t mind your idea at all, but I assume the story will remain centralized around Vi & Jinx. That being said if they introduce a strong enough outside conflict (like Noxus or Renata & her organization) it would make Ekko need to act instead of playing along the edges. Really hoping for it to be cut between two perspectives again, Vi & Cait vs Jinx & Ekko

    Ekkos lore makes him my favorite character with him using hextech in Zaun which is extremely rare in Zaun and using it to try to save the people he loves is awesome! Even if he fails he just keeps trying no matter how tiring it can be and how much he has to suffer through
    Oh and I love this cinematic so much! How we see him being extremely observant to find his opponents weaknesses and to try and figure out the best path to take them down!
    And I kinda like to think that the pain he suffers from using his z-drive is all mental. It just feels like it hurts because he just experienced it. Like he might have broken a leg and then z-drive back but the leg would feel between broken and fine because it’s not like the z-drive erases his memories. He still has that memory of feeling the pain a few seconds ago and it’s not gonna disappear instantly. That’s why he can keep doing this though because it would just take bit for his body to realize that it’s not broken anymore.

If you wanna see power go to something like frejliord , Targon or the Shadow isles... Even Swain from Noxus can propably kill everyone you've seen in arcane without breaking a sweat! xD

    The saddest Ekko story is a short story that can be found on the league universe page; It's Ekko trying ti save his dying friend, Ekko is far away when his friend gets hurt and no matter how many times Ekko tries to rewind, no matter what path he chooses he can never get there fast enough and so he is forced to watch his friend die iver and over and over again. the problem with the game is not only the fact that its a team game; so even if you play perfectly your teammates can mess you up) its also the fact that dying actively makes the enmy stronger, unlike a shooter where if you are really good you can be an active force no matter what. adding on to this there is an entire role designed to overwhelm each lane (the jungle) which makes people really angry since it makes it feel like there was no counterplay even if there was. there is also the risk of playing against hyper carries and counters. some champions get hard countered by certain other champions and that is alright since the game wouldnt be balanced otherwise but certain champions literally cannot play against other champions which makes people even more triggered (for example facing an adc in the top lane or playing xerath against zed) AND adding on even more salt some of these counter characters are by design supposed to snowball out of control and even if said character does win early they can stall till late and win the game even if you went 20/0 league is a triggering game by design. if you need more proof just play a diffrent game and see if you get flamed every two seconds for "feeding" when you are 5/3
      I have realised that this is alot of text and very annoying to read so you dont need to read it lmao. go outside with the time you would use to read this abomination
