- Now I've felt confused before watching kpop MV but this? This threw me for a loop for sure! This felt somewhat unreal, like I was thrown in a simulation through portals! The O.O would represent the entry of the portals and they took me on a tour of their diversity back to back and showed me what they're capable of doing concept wise! And so the song definitely felt like 2-3 different songs put together but the mix isn't really subtle or anything, like the transitions were so abrupt that it didn't feel like a complete song. And so there's a sense of "mess" here and I can't imagine myself making sense of this song yet. The song is a big question mark still to me. It was quite an experience for sure, experimental to say the least.
Now, the MV is so so so good! I loved the middle part of the MV, the Peter Pan/Gummy bear on crack type of aesthetic is simply stunning! The first part and last part of the MV is really reminiscent of the whole Loona cinematography and I thought it was really really well done! Styling is super fun too actually! Basically, visual wise nothing to complain about!
The girls delivered in all aspect though! Vocal, performance, visual! YES! But the song ... Man I dont know!
Edit: I honestly see where people are coming from when they say that a LOT of the MV reminds them of ATEEZ and their concept and I see it too. Now like I said for Loona, I don't think ATEEZ own the "pirate" concept though what is upsetting is seeing how many similarities there were in the MV... like too many for it to go unseen or unnoticed. I think it's even more upsetting because ATEEZ built that concept up and made it what is it today and seeing a company as big as JYP taking so much from ATEEZ and that concept is disheartening.
Anyways, just wanted to add that because I see my fellow Atiny in the comments, I feel you!

I came back here because I saw on twitter a tweet saying about your position on the plagiarism that jype did. KQ since before ATEEZ's debut they put together the group's concept perfectly we can realize that whenever they finish an era they already have an album ready to release after a while. KQ is a small company and what is carrying the company is ATEEZ with its concept, skills and talent. It's really sad to see that a big company like JYPE had the ability to plagiarize certain ATEEZ mvs and play in a new group. the girls are not to blame but the company have!!! you were the only reaction CZcamsr who said about this plagiarism and you weren't afraid of losing subscribers and I admire it because now I know that a lot of people must have noticed but they don't say anything out of fear. I hope JYPE talks about the plagiarism issue and that in the future comeback of nmixx the company does something ORIGINAL because they deserve it!!! spend so much time training so when you debut you have to that their debut has plagiarism... seriously, jype made a LOT of mistakes and made the group look bad. I literally waited lily m's debut for so many years after she appeared in skz's survival show but, upon reading their storyline that kinda feel me off as this has a huge similarities with my main bg's worldview. I don't want to say ATEEZ owned the pirate and utopian-dystopian concept but even their group's introductory description is a simply paraphrase version of ATEEZ's lore. And I really hate it how NMIXX stans claiming it as jype's publicity stunt cuz that's obviously a mockery. Imagine just to establish your group's image, is it even really necessary to use somebody's identity just to justify your gg's ability. NO. I have no against to the girls cuz they're that great and I only wish to every new kpop group a flowery path as that's what they deserved after their long-ass training. But then again, I can't just ignore it and let jype be as if ATEEZ and Kqent didn't work harder to bravely execute this such concept. Actually, atinys are fine with them doing the pirate concept as it was a general concept after all. The thing that infuriates atinys are the similiarities in storyline (ATEEZ's lore), the world view, the utopia-dystopia concept, and even the choreo which ATEEZ made in their pre debut videos were plagiarized too. Even the song titles and the album details 😰. Tell me how is this all coincidence? That was literally ATEEZ's BRAND AND IDENTITY as an artist that was considered to be "allegedly" stolen from them.
Can't they not think of other concept or theme to associate on the generalized pirate concept? They have the money and resources wth.
What's more infuriating is the lore that they seemed to plagiarized is based on ATEEZ's members real life experiences, their pain, their struggles and their insights. How messed up was that?!
This is plain stupid and disrespectful to Ateez and KQ and everyone whose behind the creative direction of the group. Just bcs they came from a "nugu" company doesn't mean these big ass companies will get away with the mess they have been doing.

Yep companies are trying to cater to international fans because the Korean GP is moving away from kpop. But I’m pretty sure the GP is moving away from kpop because most of the releases genuinely suck nowadays. I feel like these companies don’t even care about artistic value anymore they just make the most wacky noises so that people will talk and complain about the songs which will lead to higher streams and more money.

Like, travelling to an unknown new world, facing many challenges, finding their utopia etc. This with the ship, it is too close for comfort. Like similar storyline with similar concept? And the ateez's mv with the ship is not directed by the same person as nmixx's mv. In no ways it's the girls fault, atinys hv been emphasising it a lot. JYPE He's trying to get into the trend of experimental music, those beats that are suddenly a heavy-based song and mostly rap with "aggressive" instrumentals and then it changes to a beat more laid back and "girly" i can't help but say it reminded me of next level because they literally sound like 3 different songs together but if you listen to them well they don't sound chaotic they sound good together, But it is a risky decision because not everyone is so immersed in this type of songs with rhythms and abrupt changes, it is a growing trend still, and I hope that the producer can adapt a little better the rhythms than the GP is used to at the moment, but I like that they experiment a little and do not stay in what they have been doing the last 3 years

This is why you are the only person that I subscribed for reaction videos. You keep it so real. Other content creaters be like "Omg this song is so good" "This is amazing" "Best debut song ever?" and faking/overhyping the song(and they are listening for the first time😑😑). THESE GIRLS ARE SO TALENTED. Their vocals/choreo/mv are like top tiers but the song? It will be a hit or miss. So far I only like the intro.

The song was messy, but I liked that they tried to experiment. This really gives me SM vibes like "I got a Boy" and 'Next Level" but very messy and sooooo chaotic. So far it's a very "hyped" debut ig; stunning visuals, dances, vocals and mv. But I wished that It was more tamed so that it still has this continuity like Next Level.

Idk if anyone would believe but i m seeing so many similarities from ateez concept. The scene where one of them was on d rooftop it was d exact same location in turbulence,the location building of the real mv was used and the ship from one of the ateez mv illusion was also used and similar scene related to thanxx, inception r also present Idk if it is a coincidence if it is not a coincidence they better apologize for stealing ateez ideas.again i m not saying they shd not do concept related utopia r any pirate related theme but have some creativity damn it.i m so angry. Thank you so much for acknowledging the blatant plagiarism of the ateez concept, mv and storyline that is going on . It’s seriously so sad as an atiny to see all of ateez hardwork get stolen and discredited . Some of their fans are already acting like this is a concept that no one has done before when ateez has been doing it since their debut . The storyline that this new group released is nearly identical to the ateez storyline. Also Plagiarism is not cool . A big company stealing a small companys idea and claiming it as something unique that they came up with is not cool . We can’t even do much other than raising awareness about this issue. I hope Ateez , their staffs and creative directors can all get their deserved credits .

Most comments on the nmixx release say they're literally forcing themselves to listen to the songs multiple times. Why do kpop fans do this? Say the songs were bad and make jyp put more effort in their future releases. Otherwise if they see that the response was positive this is all you'll be getting. It's like constructive criticism doesn't exist in kpop. It's why quality keeps on decreasing because fans will eat up anything even if it's garbage.

the whole song was a mix of different girl groups and their concept was a whole ateez mv..
Honestly I loved this song in its own sections, if they had just kept them as 2 separate songs I’m sure I would’ve fallen in love with the tracks. The first half was amazing in its hard hitting choreo and nice vocals, the pre chorus had me hooked. and the second half was downright amazing in the way they just belted those notes. Sadly together though they made a song that really let NMIXX down and it makes me really sad. Although I absolutely fell in love with that transition back into the original first section from the “happier” type one. If they had done that in the first place instead of the huge NMIXX pause I think it’s reach would’ve increased greatly
Even Tho the song is not that bad as people makes feel but yeah the MV version especially the pause before NMIXX scream is not good in my opinion because when i listen to it on Spotify i really the transition is clearly better

Ok so today I learned a new JYP GG was debuting 😭 knowing absolutely nothing about this group, this song kind of reminded me of Aespa’s Next Level in the sense that it felt like multiple songs in one… but on crack?! Also the ship gave me strong ATEEZ vibes lol, they do have some great vocalists and visuals! Gonna give this one some time to see if it grows on me but it’s a miss for now.

This was another interesting debut, after XDINARY HEROES debut I really had high expectations on this GG and they didn't disappoint!! I love the fact that they actually don't have a fixed position, which will make them try new fields and shine equally. Coming back to the sound of this debut track .. this was really well MIXXED LOL it didn't feel like they were two songs, because they included the the second part of the song into the last chorus, therefore it was greatly arranged! I'm happy to see that they weren't afraid to show their boldness in the song .. the rock section was really lovely yet powerful. I sincerely hope they will keep with this concept where they can try NEW things without the fear of reaching an UNKNOWN area. WELL DONE NMIXX AND THANK U FOR THIS REACTION ~~

The girls seems so talented for what I've seen. They caught also my attention just like what aespa did to me. But man, their song could've been better than this. The girls can shine more. Unlike others who did experimental songs, it is a comeplete mess I'm sorry for that. If they want to produce experimental music atleast make it sounds connected and good but this song is all over the place tbh. (I'm going to reference Next Level to this to explain everything so dont get the wrong idea.) Next Level's switch up does sound confusing but lets be honest, it makes sense and it is not forced to put that part. On the other hand, O.O switch up doesn't makes sense at all tbh. I'm looking forward to their future release to reclaim themselves. Maybe the song didn't work for me but man the girls seems promising in terms of talent. The music video is very great tho.

Maybe it's bcs JYP stans aren't used to this kind of concept so they're kinda confused and shocked. If SM released this, kpop stans would expect it so it wouldn't be so jarring ig. Though, in my opinion SM's flow in experimental songs is smoother than O.O because their songs still sound like one song regardless of how many "switch ups" they have.
But that's just my opinion so feel free to disagree :)
