- Here's my interpretation of Study #1 from Gary Chaffee's amazing book 'Rhythm and Meter Patterns'.
Studying from this book has so far challenged me a lot, but also kept me engaged with all the interesting ways you can use its content.
Certain sections of this study can still be polished further such as the diminuendo over the septuplets in bar 5, or the crescendos and diminuendos through various subdivisions in bar 9. Nevertheless here's my first proper attempt at it. Hope you enjoy and find it useful/helpful in some way. Questions/feedback are always welcome too! :)
Cheers!

Excellent, great job!
Why thank you :))
Beautifully executed
Thank you :)
well done! Thanks for posting this!
Cheers :) glad you like it!
It’s hard enough WITHOUT being mindful of the dynamic markings lol.
Accent control is everything!!!!
Haha yes, I'd recommend learning it without the dynamics first to get the rhythms solid and comfortable, and then add in the dynamics after :)
Everything ya need for your next blues gig.
Lol.... or if you're playing with Ivo Papasov? 😉😂
YOU JUST MADE MY MORNING
Thanks for your kind comment! Glad to hear it :)
nicely done
Thank you!
Excellent. Just diving into this book and wanted to know what this page sounds like. Now I know! 😜
Glad I could help :) enjoy the book, I'm sure you'll get a lot out of it. Also, the exercises before study #1 will help a lot with the shifts in dynamics and subdivision. Have fun!
