Unlike most CZcams channels we're not trying to influence you! HONESTLY! That's why we make GAMEPLAY REVIEWS.
WHAT IS A GAMEPLAY REVIEW Exactly?
A gameplay review is a type of video content where a reviewer plays a video game and provides their analysis, opinions, and critique of various aspects of the game.
The purpose of a gameplay review is to give viewers an in-depth look at the game's mechanics, graphics, story, gameplay experience, and overall quality & NOT to influence you, but allow you to make up your own mind.

As far as the physics of driving is concerned, you can be sure it is accurate because: a) SimKol, the parent company of SimRail, builds train simulators for real life drivers, b) part of the SimRail team are real life train drivers who have driven the EN57, c) I used to ride these trains a lot when I was a kid, and I can confirm their braking capability as I experienced emergency braking several times. That's one of those moments when you experience weightlessness :)
😆 thank you for clarifying 🙏
That clicking sound was speedometer mechanism, it's the bread an butter of driving experience in older polish rolling stock and we love it :) When older drivers move to newer units they always miss the sound :)
Hahahah! Well I knew it might be something like that, will have to get used to it because I LOVE old Polish trains already :-)
The multiplayer is just magic. On a full server it's so much fun.
Thanks, I'm getting some practise in before hitting the MP scene, but glad to hear it is a positive experience!
@@SimUKReviewsit’s amazing. It feels like you’re part of a living breathing real railway when there’s lots of people on driving and dispatching. TSW is dull and lifeless.
I am now officially excited about trying that.
@@SimUKReviews Just jump in to multiplayer m8 you wont impact much by being slow it all just flows and works somehow I’ve never hit another train yet anyway lol
SimRail is the train sim I waited a long time for. Even when it was just the demo, for me, it was already miles ahead of TSW, which I never returned to after the first play of the demo. The route design is superb and the driving experience is immersive. Completely the opposite of TSW. A good variety of rolling stock and plenty of options for what kind of trip you want to run - long, short, slow, fast, stopper, express, freight. It'll be very interesting to see where it goes down the line. Meanwhile, I keep a tab on the latest routes for TSW via CZcams, and all I see is the same old horrible scenery and a tiny route.
Yes, I can see the potential SR has....incredible immersion.
I'm glad Dovetail are getting some competition, they were too relaxed and their greediness grew to astonishing proportions.
Likewise.
You know what else this game has over Train Sim world series? Passion. The devs are very passionate about their game, where DTG is clearly only going the cash grabs with barely any improvements over the series. Always the same boring countries for their games, O look we get another UK railroad, o look another American one, oh and there is the German one. In 4 they managed to give us one in Austria I believe it was as a starter country, whoopidoo. Why not giving us something different for once? Japan is quite exotic, let us drive there, let us drive in the Netherlands, one of the most busy railroads in the world. Let us go to Norway on special winter maps, etc. There is so much they could do, but nope, each "new" version is the same boring stuff. All driven to sell more and more extra tracks and trains. Were SimRail is in Poland, you drive by their rules, have to learn that, they show quite some nice and detailed trains and they have a multiplayer section (or will be there if it isn't there yet), they even let you play a control operator, how freaking cool is that? Pure passion, not with gaining money in mind as sole purpose of making the game, but rather a passion for trains.
Yes, yes indeed. I could not agree more.
Personally i think its miles ahead of anything DTG makes, I agree its not perfect but no sim is, But the fact it runs better in Early access than TSW456789, The train models are excellent and accurate and the developer team are only a small group of passionate people that listen to the community, imo makes this sim fantastic
I'm starting to lean in that direction too. Impressed with much of what I see.
Yeah DTG just have no ambition to improve the core gameplay they never added multiplayer like they promised years ago they back tracked on it, TSW still hasn’t even got a working cloud save lol they just have no interest in anything outside of selling routes it seems to me
About that extra unnecesary menu on the doors. There is an option in the settings that allows to automatically select option when you click on something and there is only one options to select like on cabin doors. It's in the interface menu: "skip single element message boxes"
Thank you! That is just brilliant news, this sim just gets better every day I look at it :-)
maybe once simrail has british maps then TSW will have a competitor
100% TBH it already is shaping up quite nicely.
Hi SimUK, I confess that I didn´t go through the whole video because I already know that SimRail Is better although It doesn't have the same amount of content, It´s a new sim but It´s backed by the Polish Rail system and all the tracks are as In real life. It´s on Unity so some adjustment to settings, but In my opinion Unity Is great for simulators, It just needs more exposure. These guys are a small team but very dedicated and want a real rail sim. They already beat most rail sims when It comes to realism IMO. Have fun! I am off to rise my rating In LMU hehe! Cheers 🍻
Good luck! Yeah I am impressed and getting more impressed with each time I play.
Great to see you enthusiastic asbout a new train sim! It's already on my wishlist and I'm looking forward to your future content to sway me.
I think you will be impressed.....lots more content coming.
Today I saw two small specs of dirt on the windscreen, used the washer and the wipers to clean it...and it took a little while to work!!!!! That is the level of detail we are dealing with.
Do watch you´re train signs on this one, and If you noticed, the world outside Is actually big and not just a small portion like most train sims. Looks real nice too! Give these guys time, they are doing great! BTW these guys are Polish, and yes you made me laugh 😁
I did notice how bug the world is and they have ANIMATED wildlife....TSW ANIMATED. No stutters, way more realism and the tracks etc look amazing.
At some point in the future you may find yourself struggling with the pronunciation of Polish station names. On the SimRail forum there's a PDF file (you must be logged in to download files) with every station name transcribed using the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet). The PDF file is named 'pronouncing names in SimRail' and can be found in the thread 'How to pronounce some of the problematic Polish names'. The names in that file are linked to an online IPA reader, so you can also listen to their pronunciation.
At some point in the future!? 😆 (more like right from the start).
Thats a great tip and hugely appreciated 👍
Forgot to mention, they just released a huge update and a new DLC.
Yes I spotted the dlc. Trying to get hold of a copy.
@@SimUKReviews Great! Love to see you´re thoughts on that. I am waiting for payday next week. Cheers!
I too am awaiting payday lol
@@SimUKReviews LOL!!!
This game is great but I'm looking forward more to their bus game, Simbus. However I'm not sure if that one is even in active development, it was announced years ago. It's suppose to be in the same franchise as simrail, by the same developer meaning it will be a very good simulator if it ever releases. Btw that beard looks really good on you.
Hahah! Many thanks. Yes indeed the bussim will be one to watch out for too.
This just shows how embarressed Dovetail should be. But yeah good job from those devs, it seems super good for an Early Access sim
The more I play the more impressed I get...today I noticed two small dirty smudges on my windscreen. So I pressed the jet wash button and turned on the wipers....the smudges didn't disappear at first, but after a while I checked again a d they had intact been cleaned away......I mean, totally unexpected & 10/10 for immersion.
Absolutely no comparison between the 2. SimRail is far superior.
The more I play, the more I agree.
Here's my constructive feedback: for the first 14 seconds I couldn't understand a word you were saying because the music was drowning you out.
LOL Yeah that is true, thank you for taking the time to tell me...It was a technical issue my end...Will fix ASAP :-)
TSW is a rip off. About time they had some competition. 😂😂
And I think genuinely this could be it!!
Walking noises are in TSW, sort of, you hear it when you walk on the ballast
I meant when on the train...any then?
@@SimUKReviews not that im aware of
"Decrease the..." I'll be hearing that all night... I assume it shuts up once you're done "teaching"
Yeah the tut is the only place you will hear that. 😃
Simrail Pros & Cons
Pro: Physics Are Better
Pro: Not as expensive to buy all items included (dlcs and stuff)
Tsw4 Pros And Cons:
Con: Mainly Pay To Enjoy Your Experience
Pro: More routes & train option
That sounds like something which will only take time to reverse?
I don't think TSW ever wanted to be 100% accurate. Their idea in my view is to make a train game that is based some some reality, with some sim-like features, but to make a game that is a bit real, and a bit fun. Hence why the push out a lot of routes and a lot of trains. The trains are never 100% accurate, and that is kind of the point. It's not laziness, it's how they are designed to be.
It's a bit like trying to compare Battlefield with Arma. BF doesn't try and be 100% accurate, it's a bit of realism with a bit of fun. Arma isn't necessarily about fun, as such, but of course for those that like sims that is where the fun is. But that is certainly not for everybody
I have always felt TSW was for those who like to build train sets & not those who like to drive and maintain trains....?
@@SimUKReviews yes maybe that's a good way of thinking about it. The mods do the job that mods are there for; they give people what they want in terms of extreme detail. I don't expect DTG to go to that extreme
yes, not only is it a fantastic simulator, it also has dispatcher mode which is very good
I am excited to try that too.
It would be hard to say really I think it depends on the customer themselves really on which is better.
They both do a lot of good and they both do a lot bad.
Kind of like pes and FIFA back in the day .
Good analogy. I have to say the more I play SimRail, the more impressive e it seems to be.
Yes in my opinion Simrail is far better, better graphics and amazing MP. The E186, EU07 and ET22 are fun to drive
I'll be sure to try them out!
@@SimUKReviews At the moment there is no Ai trains in Single player but i do believe that is coming. The tutorials i do think need to be made better but it is a great sim to play.
Oh it is fantastic, I feel challenged and I feel I am learning slowly...So much more to explore!
Derail Valley - the best trainsim!
I'd almost forgotten about that game!
What is there is pretty good with awful ui customization/ useability. The development is awfully slow. The detail is pointless as all trains are setup in multiplayer, like in TSW. Both are bad sim games, compared to flight, truck and racing sims.
Interesting point about MP, thank you.
They are a very small team, and just finding their feet, but I agree (having studied UI at Uni) the UI is HORRIBLE lol
sorry but Simrail is the biggest shit game about polish railways.
How many hours of experience have you got?
Okay, can you elaborate?
