2102 & 425 - Reading & Northern Double Headed Ramble - August 13, 2022

- The Reading & Northern ran their third Ramble between Reading Outer Station and Jim Thorpe and return. Due to the Double Header, a relief crew was not available so a pair of the railroad’s Fast Freight SD50s handled the train between Port Clinton and North Reading on the return trip. All videos are by my daughter Jillian Rule. Enjoy!!!!

That is sorta a plan Muller wants to do a Railfan weekend with 2100, 2102, 425, 765, & 611. IF they are all will to come to a agreement. 2100 when she's done is already a definite.

So I am presuming you are Bob's son? I remember his videos and met him a few times @ Hennings or Penn Valley many many years ago, that almost seems like yesterday. Also out Railfanning the BM&R. We all did that back then. It was the greatest steam operation in the region back then when I was a teen. Just like the 614 was the Pheonix engine, The R&N has become today's Pheonix. Reborn again back into the greatest rail venture in the country. I loved Andy's operation the first time I experienced it in 1986 & I still love it. Nobody operates Steam like Andy. He might be the Road of Anthracite today but he hasn't lost his "The Route of Friendly Service" either.

@@darrylrule1829 Buddy of mine still goes down there regularly they run O gauge. Sorta a private train club in the hobby shop on certain evenings. Lol. Is Bob still around and well?
