I wish they would have streamed yall set live on CZcams like they did so many other bands from hellfest.
Agreed! How do they decide which bands get streamed vs not getting streamed?
I mean, how difficult could it be to just keep the live feed going for each set? I realize someone has to be monitoring the feed, but once it’s setup, it mostly runs itself these days. Even if they don’t cut between multiple cameras and just keep one camera running to make it easier and require less staff, people would be super happy to see their favorite bands if they couldn’t be at the show in person. Just need one camera that has a good close view of the stage.
Or even if not streamed live, at least post the performance after the fact.
@MashaT22 I'd imagine pay to play. Not saying that's what it was but I could imagine bands paying for them to air their set for exposure or could just be popularity of the band. Either way. Would have been good to see some small stage bands get exposure as we all already know the big acts

@@MashaT22it has often to do with Rights, Managment or decision of the Band.
Festivals like hellfest have multiple stages and they usually just live stream the 2 mainstages, ola played at the altar stage and i think that one wasnt livestreamed
Ya need direct profiles, where the cab isn't baked into the sound then apply cab IR after
Exactly, I wanted to bring up that exact same point… it makes such a huge difference in a power amp and a cab. I’ve tested this many times and this is the best way to use any Kemper unit with that usecase (power amp/cab and direct in a PA with an IR). I’ve profiled my EVH (only the preamp) and when connecting the Kemper in the return of my amp, I couldn’t hear or feel any difference.
@@JayNinja1 Hello, would be running amp sims (neural dsp/borgeb digital...) through frfr/pa speaker better than in an amp fx loop + guitar cab. I try to know what to buy for my first real system to run my amp sims i hesitate between joyo xl 20w amp + 2x12" V30 cab or frfr 2x12" speaker. i'm beginner playing at home. Would it sound/feel like true amp + cab, because i can't afford many amps as good as my amps sims.

& cab setup. I only use IRs for recording & live use, myself. I’ve messed with both using an FRFR speaker & a power amp & cab at home, the power amp & cab felt WAY more real. You won’t regret going that way AT ALL
Hey Ola, I downloaded this Kemper preset and installed it in my Kemper powered toaster amp, and I played it through my Marshall 4x12 cabinet. Holy smokes, this preset sounds great as is, then I made minor tweaks for my ears and man, what a killer preset. It sounds great with my S1.7LB, plus my other guitars. Thanks Ola

Just a little hack I used for dialing in modeler tones meant for large PA's for anyone who cares (I mentioned it on Glenn's channel as well)...
If you rent space at a sound studio you can dial in your sound in a very loud environment. This helped me hear all those hidden frequencies that you don't hear in your living room. Cost me about 65 US for the hour in the sound studio and totally worth it.

you should get hx stomp and you would be able to get amp preamp and amp with ir in separate paths + expression pedal and I think its even smaller than kemper player

yo dude! for in-ears try to use early reflections for the guitar that you can find in any cab sim or impulse player, when it is not drilling your head in a middle because of mono signal it sounds very full and it feels like you play in front of a cabinet so try to setup ER like you hear a cabinet in a room in front of you, I do that with both guitars, so you can use it for both guitars and will get wall of guitar sound. FOH guy move them 60-70% left / right, and you can listen your guitar in stereo plus second guitar somewhere in the right (where he stands for you). It is a best solution I found for guitar in-ear + show sound.
More outdoor festivals need giant tents like that

That is nuts that they shrunk the Kemper into a pedal like that. Not that multi effects pedals haven't been around for 20 years. Great to hear the Haunted back in action! We need an American tour sooner than later.

Hey Ola, perfect Amp + Cab seperation within the Kemper is possible! Read about Merged Profiles. You create a DI Profile of only the Amp with a DI box between Amp + Cab. A Two Notes Reload or similar works too. Than you also create a full studioprofile with Cab+Mic etc. Now you can merge the Cabinet from this Studioprofile into your Amp DI profile. Now you have the best of both worlds!
Merged profiles are good but if you already use an IR you like, you can use DI or direct profiles.

11 years ago my band at the time used Pod HD500 and my Ekit live and sound guys would freak out when presented a DI box when looking where to put the mic. I guess we were ahead of the times.
Hey Ola the idea that you have with the Monitor out has the cabinet disengaged it totally possible gotta get the kone to get orange so you turn on Kemper Kone turn to Red then Hold the Kone button should be Orange and totally eliminate the Cabinet tone
I always find it fascinating how players set up their "channels" on these types of devices... for example, my Fractal live rig was always (left to right) clean-pushed-dirty/rhythm/dirty +FX/lead. I've just always found it easiest to remember... clean on left, progressively dirtier as you go across to the right.
I always arranged them left to right, rhythm / lead boost no fx / lead boost with fx / clean.
I like the ones I toggle between the most on the left and next to each other, then to the right in order of decreasing usage.

I was there. Really cool gig and great atmosphere. I was a bit disapointed by the guitar sound because the palm mutes sounded weird and boomy. Apart from that I had a great time seeing you guys

I had that bank changing issue using the kemper remote live too, easy to fix but not a fun surprise.

Great demo, again!! I'm a fan of new tech... but have rarely been WOWED by live sound without amps and cabs. Big shows like Gojira and Mastodon I saw last year, sound awesome in a arena setting. But in clubs, or smaller venues, if you're up front, the stage mix shit is ASS!! No more fun up front 😂🤘
probably sounds like an ad-scam but I ve been playing exclusively with the Hotone Ampero for couple years now, which is pretty tiny considering its range of functions. Since it even comes with an exp pedal, I have basically everything I need. In terms of sound quality, I haven't had to make any compromises (shure it s not a full stack). I've been looking forward to every performance since then. Only our singer has even less to carry. ;-)
You should make a profile of just the preamp and then make a ir of the power amp and cab, that should sort your problem out.
For your situation maybe check out the KMA Endgame Pedal. You can then just use your Chug pedal into that for direct and then use the Power amp of the given amp at the gig would love to see you check that out maybe also with the Tonex one? And just get a standalone Wah come on XD

Interesting video. It's really tough to come into Kemper new, knowing how old the tech now is. It just doesn't fit right with how used to things moving forward we are.

If you want to separate amp and cab a 100% you need to have/make merged profiles

They seemed to tell me the bands that don't get streamed aren't even recorded sadly. Just seems mad to me, who knows what can happen, you know? It could be some musician's last ever performance etc.
@@Wagoo maybe the "Altar" stage Didnt had streaming setup. I'm just guessing, seeing that any bands that played in that stage didn't had streams.

Even smaller. Mooer 5150 pedal into a Mooer Baby Bomb, a 30 watt power amp. One of the guys from Cradle of Filth did a whole tour on that.

You could have made a DI Kemper Profile without mic'd Cabinet, then into the Poweramp...instead of turning off the Cabinet on a studio mic'd cab profile.
Then you would have had a Profile with no cabinet influence going into the Poweramp.
I don't understand why you can't connect the wah to the Tonex input...
I've never used Kemper. It's not like a Quad Cortex where you can create presets with Amps and effects, right? You can only play using captures from full rigs? Would I be able to download a preset and change parameters on it?

I don't know where to find some info specific of traveling to Sweden, so I launch it here as a comment on my favorite Swedish channel... I know, not quite the right place, but I don't know where to find other people that might know something about Sweden... Does any one know whether I can use a suction cup car phone mount in Sweden placed on the car window? Some people told me it's illegal in Sweden. Would be stupid to get fined for that. Can't find anything on the interwebs that confirms or denies this statement...

*I keep forgetting I have a processor that can be used for IR's* I'm betting if I'm run through valves, it won't carryover the raunch, sleaze and meanness of solid-state pinch harmonics. Tube pinch harmonics are just so very awful it sounds like they're made with glitter! lmao
