Will Cascadia Megaquake Be The Worst Disaster To Hit America?

  • As it seems, we may witness the largest earthquakes in history during our lifetime. And this is absolutely terrifying. Scientists and government bodies are intensifying their efforts to address the looming threat. But what exactly is behind this? The 320-year-old collision between tectonic plates along the Cascadia subduction zone has resulted in a terrifying situation for the Pacific Northwest region. Now, after decades of accumulated tension, we are on the verge of a major threat as it is about to erupt, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake. According to experts, this seismic event would be 45 times more deadly than the devastating earthquake that befell California in 1906. Can this terrifying disaster be contained or, at the very least, delayed? What is the update on the horrifying earthquake as of today? Let’s find out!
    In the Pacific Northwest region, the collision between tectonic plates has been an ongoing saga for over three centuries. But now, scientists are warning that the resulting massive earthquake could strike soon. When the earthquake known as 'The Big One' finally hits the West Coast of America, the destruction it will bring will be on a whole new level. Buildings will crumble, trapping thousands of people under the wreckage. Flames will burst forth, reducing complete city blocks to ruins. Soil Erosion, breaches in dams, and toxic spills will add to the chaos, each of them individually qualifying as one of the worst disasters since Hurricane Katrina. However, when combined, their impact will be felt by millions. And that's just the beginning. Within minutes of the initial tremors, a colossal tsunami will surge forward, wiping out coastal communities and engulfing hundreds of thousands of square miles. When the waters finally recede, North America will have endured its most catastrophic natural disaster ever recorded. Regardless of where the Big One hits, the mere thought of experiencing the most significant earthquakes in history within our lifetime is enough to send shivers down our spines. Keep watching as we explore when the biggest earthquake in modern history would hit, the mystery behind this eruption, how communities and infrastructure could manage the aftermath, and what will potentially be the impact on the United States and the world in general. But to begin this captivating journey, we will provide you with some important context.

Not just the Juan De Fuca, The North American Plate is already moving in other regions of the countries even down to towards South America.

      Personally I think videos based on true facts such as this are not to be fear monguring but informational for people to have the knowledge and act accordingly if desired! Dont be scared, be prepared! If you live on the West coast you may want to reconsider your living location. I've listened to scientist, FEMA, etc on this subject including the head geologist on Cascadia and FEMA saying they are not even 1% prepared for this and that it will be the worlds biggest natural disaster in all of history with 22 states preparing for survivors to be walking in to their states! It's up to the viewer to decide if they want to stick their head in the sand or heed the knowledge!

    (In Theory Only)
    If a Cascadia earthquake were to to be a 9.4 or better it could cause the great lakes to shift causing a tsunami. Also other faults could plausibly be triggered but not simultaneously. It would be more like a domino effect effect.

    • @InsaneCuriosity
      @InsaneCuriosity  Před 27 dny

      Thanks for your comment! While a 9.4 Cascadia earthquake would be catastrophic, causing the Great Lakes to shift and create a tsunami is highly unlikely due to the vast distance and geological differences. The domino effect on other faults is possible but would occur over time, not instantly.

    • @arthurzettel6618
      @arthurzettel6618 Před 27 dny

      @InsaneCuriosity UUM... not simultaneously means not instantly, but you're right it would occur over time, but in how much time between fault activations would be the question and what fault would be next after the Cascadia.
      About the Great Lakes Tsunamis, I don't think it would be very large, but it would be enough to get your attention.

"Babylon", or, "the whore of Babylon", refers to the Roman Empire itself. "Revelations" was written in a secret code by the early Christian writers, so that if the Romans ever found the manuscript, they wouldn't be able to make any sense of it. And to this day, no one, theologian or otherwise, can make much of any sense of the Book of Revelations. But it's largely accepted that it was about a prophesied collapse and fall of the Roman Imperial Earthly power. And, well, that's exactly what happened, so, something to think about.

      I know there a lot of different Christian denominations but I've never heard what you're talking about. A large amount of Revelation is figurative like the large statue made of different metals representing different kingdoms, and the parts about events in heaven that Paul witnessed and the coming war between Jesus and Satan leading to Satan and the demon's imprisonment for a thousand years.
      I have the Bible in audio on my Mac and I listen to Revelation at least once a month if not more as it does take time to understand what is being said.

    I watch a lot of disaster programming because about a half century ago, I dreamed of being a scientist and wanted to work saving lives. And I’m not saying human lives only as our planet has plenty of interlocking systems, such as our various ecosystems. Alaska has zones that can generate large earthquakes that cause tsunamis. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen information talking about the effects on wildlife with those two events. Mainly, I worry about large bears and how they have survived tsunami events. Are their instincts enough that would drive them to high ground before, during, after, or maybe no survival instincts kick in? Have we noticed their reactions? Almost all the information about animal instincts have come from zoo populations with references to high anxiety from pets and a few domestic animals.
