I love how they have gone back to the very first costumes we see each of them wear in Church on Ruby Road, with 15s costume in the cold open and Ruby when she talks to Davina.
@@stephenmurphy2212Technically Martha had her goodbye and then came back for a few episodes. Maybe we'll have a similar situation with Ruby. Though it would be different from Martha if she stayed for the entire season
After spending the whole series struggling to see Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, this scene really showed what he's capable of. The nuanced performance of a convincing pretence of happiness masking his sadness is phenomenal, even more affecting than Tom Baker's farewells to Sarah Jane and Leela. Finally, Ncuti really is the Doctor: he does a great job of pushing his feelings down and hiding them but he'll always be vulnerable. It's what isn't said that counts, and both Ncuti and RTD really nailed that. RTD, less tears and hysteria and more of this, please! Ncuti Gatwa deserves more material like this!
@@felipecarrera9127 are you still seriously thinking that? it has already been confirmed by RTD that she is 100% in season 2(series 15) , whether it's full time or part time we don't know but she is defiantly in the next season/series

Sutekh reminded the Doctor of something important, regardless of face, regardless of identity, regardless of presentation- traveling with the Doctor is dangerous. The doctor doesn't leave people behind because he fears connection. The Doctor leaves people behind because She's dangerous. They don't want to see anyone get hurt.
No, if you think about it, Sutekh has been one with the Tardis since Pyramids of Mars. So all that Death that came with the Time War, the Pandorica, Trenzelore and even the Flux, all of that was him, not the Doctor. There’s no way the Doctor could have known until now. All that destruction was Sutekh, not him.

Did anyone else compare ruby to rose? The two blond companions. But also i feel the revealing if her mother was underwhelming. Expecting her to be more than ordinary..but maybes thats the point
Wait so can someone clarify pls is it going to be a Martha jones situation where the doctor finds someone else but ruby still comes along every now and again??
@@DalekCaanOfSkaro tbh, knowing RTD this is probably a nod to the continuity errors of classic who where indeed, the rotor would sometimes be going before the TARDIS lifted off.
Funny because that was very “woke” and progressive for its time. I mean women getting to speak back to men like Susan did to 1? Unheard of. Barbara being all investigative and not submissive? Very “woke”
Doctor Who has always been woke, you walnut. Go watch the Green Death, or The Sun Makers, or Happiness Patrol and tell me there are no politics in classic who.
I wasn’t expecting Ruby to say “I love you” and then see The Doctor cry. Nah man, it hit right in the feels 😭
Yeah same
Me too
Thats because its all gone woke and shite.
I can't believe that people are saying Doctor Who has lost it's flavor. The hell it has.
He cried every episode, I think we all expected he would cry
Same farewell atmosphere during Amy Pond’s first goodbye to the Doctor. But she will be back just like her!
Yes
You mean the God Complex?
Amy was always wrong to be in love with the Doctor.
I love how they have gone back to the very first costumes we see each of them wear in Church on Ruby Road, with 15s costume in the cold open and Ruby when she talks to Davina.
It shows the characters growth and progression as the Doctor never says goodbye.
This is such a heartbreaking and warming exit. It’s just we didn’t get enough time to get the emotional impact this deserves.
I feel the same. she needed a second series.
@@icc2010 She’s getting one, she’s slated to leave properly next season.

@@frostpatch2347 that’s what I mean. Rose Tyler is the only RTD companion to date to remain for the entirety of two seasons.

Concerning how the Doctor appears to be relapsing into previous bad habits... closing themself off...

Ruby got her happy ending. 😊
See you Christmas Ruby.
I do like how they've REEEAAALLLLLLYYY teased Susan this series. She's definitely on the way in some form or another.
Like how Ruby's mother was supposed to be special?
"but you could come.....and see my dad" to be fair, how do we know that the doctor hasn't seen her dad already?
Thank you so much for uploading this!
This marks the second time 15 has used the slow-demat switch, or the "polite GTFO take off."
The music is amazing

probably. 10 used to have a new companion/season so it'll probs be similar
Wonder if it’s Christmas without her or if that’s when she’ll be back?
Ok the time rotor going off before the demat? What.
That happened in New Earth too lol
I like to think it just him warming up the engine. Like how you can turn the ignition on in a car but have the brakes on so you don't go anywhere

It’s probably because he didn’t take the handbrake off
