Yes, except that "speeding" has a definite meaning that everyone agrees on. The word "outlandish" is purely subjective and has no universal meaning-- it's a word that describes an issue of taste. The fact that they use that expression in a way that is supposed to cast suspicion on people, shows just how nuts this has all gotten. "Of course they would say that, they're a Never Trumper!". They are trying to gas light people that have not been paying attention. Now is when the spotlight is on everything and very few will be able to avoid hearing about what Trump did. Once this starts to be truly torn open for all to see, I won't be surprised if half the Senate turns out to be involved in corruption and get impeached as well. They must be being promised huge golden parachutes behind the scenes to keep up this circus, though I suspect they'll need it for the lawyers' fees in 2020.
If they'd just gone along with it, pledged ignorance in the crimes and cooperated with the investigation then they'd probably all get out of this with their jobs intact. Old school Republicans (not the extreme loud minority that are die-hard Trumpers) won't vote for blatantly corrupt officials if its crystal clear they aren't to be trusted (if they even manage to escape prison) and the Trumpers won't vote for someone who isn't Trump. They've screwed themselves.
The only way out of this for the Republicans is to clear the house and senate, replace them all with new people and hope they can pin the blame on the individuals and not the party as a whole. If they keep this up, the entire party is going to be ruined forever.

I listened to / watched as much of the hearing as possible today. I had an appointment an hour away from home, so I listened in the car on NPR. The republicans, and especially Janky Jim Jordan made utter fools of themselves ! The democrats, on the other hand had serious questions, on point with the matter at hand.. and the witnesses handled themselves professionally and above reproach. This is history .. no matter your political party affiliation .. the proceedings will be rebroadcast so all who were working or otherwise engaged can witness the entire hearing .. I urge EVERY American to listen .. closely.. and with open minds ... We as citizens have as much responsibility for this outcome as those in congress. It is the duty of EVERY citizen to protect and defend the constitution... the benefits of which we do enjoy every day.

My understanding is that Lev and Igor were arrested earlier than had been intended, because it was learned they were skipping the country with one-way tickets to Vienna, so the Feds pulled the plug and went ahead and arrested them. So probably the Feds were wanting a bit more information, or they are not yet willing to reveal certain other investigations or parts of investigations. Rudy's still on the hook, for sure. And if he tried to skip the country they'd arrest him immediately.
