    Quite a package there with the 50mm obj, 640x480 res, decent base mag, and LRF. What I esp like is the ease of connectivity, placement/operation of controls, (ATN take note lol) and focus/contrast.
    And thanks Todd(!) for the tip on taking video with sound right on the phone to include the audio and simplify offloading.

    I love the idea of red hot, and I can see red when it's obvious, dark red like blood looks black unless it's bright red. Sucks, I'm a mutant probably. Never knew I couldn't see red until my father in law yelled at me for messing up his blood trail. Don't know why I thought that was shareable, but there you go. Keep it up, great channel.

    When you got the doubles and said "double", for some reason all I heard in my mind was Peter Griffin saying "Roadhouse". Pretty neat scope, but the no audio is a real bummer.

    I have the tu431. Its a 400 x 300 but its as good if not better than my 640 monocular. Half the price of the others. Only thing is it it quite heavy.

    Enjoy all your content, can we get a video of your recommendation for the top 5 budget thermals vs higher end options?

  • @SlackerU
    @SlackerU Před 4 měsíci

    They need to change the rule where you can't use Thermal-drones at night for feral-hogs & coyote. You'd get way cleaner hunts with drones that are way safer b/c of how much the pilot could see & share by radio/phone.

    There is a natural solution to every problem. In this case, I make the following suggestion to you. It is important that you ignore the costs but see the success. Good, about my suggestion. Build an enclosure with an edge length of 2 kilometers with vegetation etc. so that the animals can survive there. Build a smaller enclosure next to this enclosure. Then build a group that will use drones to drive the animals from far away to the enclosure. The animals are sorted into the small enclosure and only the strongest animals are locked in the larger enclosure. As more and more prey gradually collect in the large enclosure, groups and rivalries arise. Since the animals cannot escape and cannot be fed, the only food available is coyotes. The animals are therefore raised to be one-sided cannibals. That means they only have the opportunity to eat coyotes. The coyotes pass this on to their next generation, which grows up with pure cannibalism. By the 4th generation at the latest, the coyotes in the large enclosure will only eat coyote meat because they don't know anything else. This is the moment to release some of the cannibal coyotes somewhere else, where they will then only hunt and eat coyotes, thus naturally maintaining a balance. Since they only focus on coyotes, the risk that they will attack other animals is low. The experiment would succeed after 2 years and produce a pure breed of cannibalistic coyotes. Since the costs only relate to building materials and the drones, the costs are manageable. And since there is never any additional feeding, there are no costs involved because the coyotes are only offered coyote meat either way, alive or dead. Better alive in order to train the strong animals and the hunter saves money on weapons and ammunition, but can still hunt in the enclosure because new coyotes are constantly being driven from far away with drones and so new food is constantly available for the coyotes. And with a drone you can drive and move animals over many kilometers. think about it.

    Hey Todd, another great video. Very informative. Which I appreciate very much. I'm looking for a more dependable thermal unit. I have an older ATN Thor4. I have NOT had the greatest luck with it. I have sent the unit back 3 times now. I have lost faith in it. I want to upgrade. I am not rich and have no sponsorship. So as you know it's coming outta my pocket book as a retiree. I am trying to make a informed decision on my next purchase.
