    Perfect timing cause I have my HSC physics exam tomorrow

      So how’d it go?

      is it hard, cause i want to do physics for yr12. Also how well does it scale?

    • @PhysicsHigh
      @PhysicsHigh  Před 2 lety +1

      It is challenging but if you enjoy physics then go for it. I advise that you are doing mathematics (not standard maths) and you should be a minimum B for science.
      It does scale well but don’t choose it for that reason. Biology and chemistry all scale similarly.

      Well I just got a a notification on this old comment. Ahh, I think it went pretty good when I did it. If you listen in class and pay attention it should go fine. But yeah, only do it if you actually enjoy that side of science. I'm older now, and at then end of the day it doesn't really matter what you do. Just do it if enjoy it, and continue to do further study through your life, it's good for ya.

    this was a very good resource for an upcoming timed investiagation in class, hopefully I'll be back to comment how it went.
    definitely helpful either way 👍

    I hope someone can help. How do I measure or calculate reliability and validity with a sample size of 27? I cannot do Cronbach Alpha as you need a bigger sample size for that.

    But with the second example, about counting the time yourself or with a stopwatch. Is that the accuracy?
    Accuracy: How close the measured value is to the true value?

    My understanding, and I could be wrong, is that no matter the angle of the pendulum the period is the same. However using large angles creates higher velocities and more air resistance.

    • @PhysicsHigh
      @PhysicsHigh  Před 5 lety

      Actually, air resistance isn't the issue (though in real life of course it plays a part depending on the mass and surface area of the pendulum bob).
      The mathematics involves an understanding of rotational dynamics, specifically Newton's 2nd law for rotational systems. The formula I have is an approximation for the period and only works when sin (θ) ≈ θ. Check out this link for an explanation
