I have some troubles hearing the bass in a lot of songs because it's often drowned by the other instruments, it's so nice hearing it clearly in bass playthroughs.
Absolutely agree! I didn't know the bass guitar was this good until I watched this video! And man is this bassist good, hell yeah!
The Inferi tracks are so complex its hard to hear it sometimes but I can still pick out the bassline from the entire album

Bass is mixed to be barely audible in 99% of all rock/metal songs as a deliberate choice. Shame really.
I was upset to hear Joel had departed since he was so good at his craft, but you guys have done a fantastic job at finding a replacement. Andrew seems more than capable enough of fitting right in with the rest of you guys.

Wow. I'm just blown away. First off, I had no idea the bass part was so complex in this song, Inferi's tracks seem to go as deep as the 9th level of hell! Secondly, the directing, which I've commented on in several videos seems to improve with each playthrough video. The camera seems to be where I want it to be more, on the fingers during more complex parts, the fingers during those complex picking parts, and there's even splitscreen of both in this video. I also liked how the camera was on full body during a stop start part. I can't imagine the counting and the practice to stay together with everyone during some parts of this song. Excellent work to everyone involved, thanks for producing this video!

@@Jihadbearzwithgunz thanks! Im recording thru a scarlett 2i2, and I'm running the darkglass ultra plugin by neuraldsp. Little bit of eq and compression to glue things together and make the bass more prominent, as this is a play through video.
