- a little bit is a bittersweet drama that documents the relationship dynamics between two young men, Sam and Will, over a period of time, placing their romantic feelings under scrutiny.
the film depicts their very human sense of fragility and vulnerability, but ultimately, also of their maturity.
Piece by piece, they develop a bond, but love has its own limitations, bit by bit, we see their certainty slip away.
following a chance encounter, the pair discover that they still care for each other. despite residual feelings, they simply acknowledge their shared past, recognising that love can come in many forms.
Soundtrack (all except for one track) is available on iTunes: itunes.apple.com/gb/album/all-... - Krátké a kreslené filmy
That Stewart Crowther poem at the end is just...wow.
Despite a few bumps in the story, it was quite realistic and thought-provoking, The poem/monologue at the end was well done.
I swear to god that I’ve been thinking about this video for the last 3 years and it finally came through again. This time I’m saving it because it touched me back in 2012 when I first saw it. Thank you for posting it.😊
the writer, stuart crowther has am amazing way with words, you can see his meaning. cold chills...
Excellent film and great actors. Poem and music made it special and I regularly revisit to watch the film again. It means a lot to me and mirrors real events in my life. Great promotion for Manchester. 😀
OMG! Beautiful ! The poem at the end STUNNING! Thank You so much for the awesome experience.
I absolutely love the integration of the poetry into this film, It gives this love story a sense of sophistication. This was a really well done film, much gratitude to the cast and crew that created this masterpiece :D
Who have you lent yourself to late?
What a beautifully insightful line.
This was so very well done. I had not been to Manchester in years, but am going through, somewhat, a similar process, with another named Will. This left me almost in tears. Thank You. The poem was beautiful.
The film was beautiful, I cried, it was so real. It wasn't a caricature, it was real life, the verbiage was real. Bravo to you, a treat to anyone who sees it.
Holy Crap, this made me cry for about five minutes solid... I still have tears in my eyes as I type this. Such an amazing film, and quite well done, with gems of wisdom for everyone. I know "We don't always get what we want", but damn, I want this short film to win a bunch of awards for it's poignant and beautiful story.
❤🥰☺❤👬
This is a gorgeous little film that leaves one aching for more, as all decent works of art do. Thanks for sharing this - both the film, and the poem.
The short movie was really good - and the poem at the end was simply amazing.
I loved the end bit. It was beautiful and completely relatable. Bittersweet...
Thanks for this film. I immediately recorded the poem and will transcribe it later and pass it on to many of my friends who have gone through similar experiences.
the poem at the end is amazing!!
This is beautiful and that poem is just pure and amazing. Really well done for making this :)
Brilliant! Beautiful, and sad. Life is like that sometimes. Mine, for a moment, memories last, for a lifetime.
That..was truly amazing..no words.....and the poem at the end reduced me to tears..thank you .
the poem at the end is brilliant.
Pretty good plot. Love the way they play, the fact that when they look at each other, you can sense they are meant to be together cause they understand each well. Of course life ain't easy road and it's human the feeling that he is not good enough for the more attractive guy. On the other hand, the more attractive( so to say) made it clear that the cute shave one is the only that matters to him. It take a Hella lot of confidence in yourself to figure out things and understand you deserve all of the good things. Maybe that come with maturity or wisdom
I really love this, especially the ending as well.
That poem was beautiful at the end
The poem at the end BEAUTIFUL 👌
The film made me cry when it was over. I reminded me of letting something important slip through your hands like water in a stream.
the film and the poem were reflective of a place that many of us have visited. we never quite understood how we got to our relationships in the first place, and in hindsight, wonder if we gave away what may well have been the best opportunities in our lives (in hindsight). i found your creation closer to my experience than I was comfortable with, which is always the character of a solid piece of work.
God!! Love that poems, honestly that hurt and make me broken 😭😭
short sweet reflective and a lovely poignant poem at the end which was the cherry on the cake for me. Nice!
Brilliant adding the poem at the end as a summation.
Dude could make you make me cry anymore bro...
A lovely film and packed with so much tenderness....
this is so good, good story, really good. i mean this has potential to become a good long movies
I love the poem!
I still read the comments as I get an e-mail every time someone comments. Thank you for your kind words. The script was inspired by a past relationship of mine and guess what, I am really good friends with my ex now, so I have material for a sequel! Joking. The poem was written by one of the actors (Stuart who plays Will) and he kindly laminated his poem and gave everyone on set a copy on our last day of shoot saying how much he enjoyed working with us.
well I enjoyed it... a few years have passed July 2018!, any thoughts of doing more... and how are you?
Loved it. The poem was so profound.
love the poem!
Yeah! What a beautiful poetry it is!
Love the poem. You were right: it does complement the film well.
Awwww!!! Excellent movie and poem. It gives a good message. :)
We never really know what another thinks or really feels unless we ask and then... listen. Sometimes you have to ask many times. Not because you didn't hear it, but you need to listen harder.
this was beautiful
This made me cry.
Thank you for this awesome film... even when it's been a while that you've uploaded it, I think it still deserves applause.... it's lyric... and touching.... and northern .. thanks a lot!!
What have you been doing lately? More films as nice as that one?
Nice movie but the poem was well.. beautiful!
what an exquisite poem at the end.... i wept....
The poem at the end is inspiring. :)
This is a beautiful film portrayal of love, and trust. Tyler Lord Hamilton

Fantastic and so lovely

What CZcams's 500-character limit didn't allow me to say in my previous comment is that you obviously have serious artistic aspirations, and thus I look forward to seeing more of your work. One short film is not for long one's complete oeuvre-I hope.
Thanks again.
…low self esteem… beautiful poetry…🌹
Great film
The difficulties of going out with a beautiful guy... fighting the others off and feeling ones own inadequacies.
One of the best gay short fils I've seen and loved the poem at the end. I too have felt not good enough. Well done and said. Thanks!
Its a bad time ,only if you allow it to be.
So true
beautiful
Brilliant!
This is absolutely brilliant. It has to be my favourite gay short movie after "thirteen minutes or so". It made me think at the time when I used to live in Manchester. And it made me think that I am 33 and never been in a relationship: nobody has ever loved me. But the real tragedy is that I have never loved anybody.
luv it, intense words
It was well played.....And a good poem.
But things are many times simpler than some guys make it, I believe. Enjoying the life and the good moments is what matters
This is what happens when someone has low 'self-esteem' and it becomes the center of his life instead of on occasional flitting thought. Counseling would have solved this. Bravo for the other guy for trying to understand however, him understanding the other guy's depression about his own insecurities, short-comings and worthlessness - can't be understood by merely 'understanding' what the other guy is going through. It's only solved by the one who is focusing only on his short-comings instead of going to counseling or seeking help to SOLVE the problem, not just live with it as part of his life's luggage. In the end, he lost him from not doing the work required to improve.....he knew it and showed it within his poem at the end, at least I'd like to believe he did.
And he was inspired by the whole experience to write the poem. I was very touched by the words in the poem and felt that his words would complement my film nicely and asked if he would let me use it in the film. So, here's the story :-)
Manchester.... this movie hit a nerve especially the verse by Stuart Crowther at the end. Manchester was home and place of work for many years. I now live a different part of the world, but the experiences of the sights and sound of the village and people are described by the reflections of the verse. My visit's back are almost like the book in the library one takes out or a favorite read that once in a while has to be experienced again to ponder the meaning of life and experiences.
It's funny in watching this film what emotions it generates. I was with my first partner for 5 years and my second and I just celebrated our 30th year together. My first and I are now best friends and talk at least 2-3 times a week. It was bittersweet early on and difficult at times but now we are back the way we were before we loved each other - just best friends. I hope others can achieve this as there was once obviously something deep and real with your first loves.
Great photography...but the story line.....?
Thank you so much for the film. And thanks especially to Sam0822 for "after you were mine". I'm an older guy, and I've been with my partner for 28 years next month, but your poem makes me think about the "what ifs" from my young days. What if I would have been mature enough and wise enough while I was with (insert name of early ex's here)? Could we have made our relationship work? Thanks gentlemen for adding a little beauty to an otherwise dreary day in the middle of the work week.
The last track when the credit is rolling is called Crystal by Chris Selman.
See the iTunes link I have now put on on the info of the video.
Thanks.
beautiful
Mind tellin me whats the song playin during the poem? Such a good piano piece is it?
Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor and Thinker wrote 'All we have is now.
The weather. It’s the grey, cloudy, drizzly weather in England that makes everyone so mopey.
I couldn't imagine in my lifetime thinking I wasn't good enough for a person.
lucky you
ok, am i gonna cry watching this? or am i gonna cry watching this? crap! ill watch it anyway
Jeez, freaking megabland!
Im speechless
Please make more movies now.
This story was great, I see the date I which it was posted. Then I ask myself how is this same story appears in an actual series from the UK on Logo called Cucumber & Bana. Hum the poem In it self seems to so close to me then I realized hum someone other wrote I had written nearly ten fold ago. Funny though I did write it it seems another walked the road I had felt softness of the leather cover the comfort that the book of you gave to me then I realize my book had been borrowed when I put upon the shelf, returning to find someone new had began to read as I once had before.
"We don't always get what we want." You like him and at times you want to love him. His friends don't get you and you don't get them. Its a challenge having to match your emotions with someone who you think will understand you. The very worst thing is to have a relationship where there is no true love.
Kyddoemiko.
Way late... 2018.. reminded me a little of Weekend...... anyway, why just the one upload.. more please.
dunno if you'll ever read this (it's been a while since this was first posted & you've prolly moved on to other things), but i still wanted to stop & say how wonderful i think this film is. you've managed to say so much in such a short amount of time...many try, but few are successful. i admire, very much, the talent it takes to show all the layers of a relationship without making it a caricature of itself. and i have to ask, was the film inspired by the poem?
Terence.....i believe this is about to happen to me and watching this sort of scares me....i dont want this to happen.....i dont want anyone to borrow him......this film is brilliant executed and terrifying to mo as life itself........wish me luck
As long as he does not see that you have not moved on, it is ok!
Will's insecurity and depression would keep him from ever being happy. Like a Woody Allen, he analyzes things to death. Anything placed under enough intensity and magnification will reveal flaws. One should savor the happy and good things that come our way rather than morbidly listing the things that aren't perfect or cataloguing everything that might go wrong.
Thank-you.

Great acting and dialogue but the f--ing piano?
If someone ever tells you that they aren't good enough for you. BELIEVE THEM! They're right! Don't love someone that doesn't love themselves. It will bring way too much bagged into the relationship. You can't fix someone that's broken!
It was sad but it gave a good message
I remember the shape of you, sketch the illustration, but blur the edges.
Imagine a technicolor version where there was really only a limited pallet
as limited as my own at the time.
But we painted each other in primary tones, stuck to the lines,
caring nothing for the shades and the scribbles that would follow with time
and with age.
As a admirer of your poem, I hope you do not mind if I were to copy it, frame it, and hang it on my wall. Of course, I would put your name on it. The words touched me so much. Your mind is beautiful.
" I borrowed you for awhile and I wondering who's borrowed you now." It reminds me that everything is on loan to us in this physical world and that we are only passing thru here to our final destination. Great and profound two sentences in the poem.
Teşekkürler 😢😢😢
