There's SO much wrong with this "hit piece".
He actually comes off as an exaggerated caricature Ben Shapiro would create to make fun of left politics.
@flatpepsi except those aren't caricatures, they're examples of true extremes. Sadly they exist just as much as the equivalent on the far right. I've met both and they are equally insane.
Whines about his finances, yet can apparently afford to take a month long break, during which time he is going to plummet into total obscurity, which will probably kill his channel more than the controversy possibly could. Logic.
What I understand is that he had gotten really lucky, in that one of his first videos was picked up by RL Stine, and RL Stine tweeted the link to the videos. So he never had the slow build up of the channel, and after 2021 when people quit watching so many videos... it really upset him.
And why do you think people stopped watching...?
@cursedcancersurvivor I mean, the implication of "after 2021" is that the lockdowns ended and people no longer had the time to consume content literally all day.
@@courtroonegg The videos got longer and longer, I like that kind of thing, but generally your audience is going to like the kind of videos they suscribed for, and those were 20 to 30 minutes breakdowns of horror movies (as an example of the opposite, Wendigoon became famous because of his long videos, and you will notice that the odd time he makes a short one, it has less views),
He attributes his lost of views to the political tone of the Hill Have Eyes video, but if you notice, the people that talk about him, point that one as the odd bad video of him, but what really happens, is that after that one video his average runtime goes from 20 minutes to an hour and a half, and it only goes up as time goes on.

I enjoyed Late Night with the Devil. The one joke was purposeful - he is kind of lost and desperate to boost his ratings. The AI art they used was so short and basic it’s barely an issue especially when it’s so hard to get original indie horror movies today

I'm intentionally hunting down every video made about this fool beclowning himself in his attempt to cancel Wendigoon. When I find one, I put it on play and run it all the way through, ads and all, so those creators make money on it. I give it a "thumbs up" and comment in hopes of boosting the algorithm as well.
Wendigoon says don't be mean to the guy. I don't consider contributing to the financial health of every CZcamsr he lied about and all the friends who came to their defense "mean". So I figure I'm not going against his wishes with this method.

actually if you can, watch theamazingloli's stream of it because he watched the entire video, not iust the youtubers segment, and nearly lost his mind every 5 minutes

That streak sucked it felt like I was going schizophrenic with him talking over the video, and his super chats text to speech talking over him, even tho he’d already answered that super chat 5 mins ago. Terrible stream.

i'm a bit late. first timer on your podcast. Let me start with that i was IPOS fan and Wendigoon fan i still am. i found IPOS after binge watching every horror movie ever.. not really but during the pandemic me and my BF watched all the hellraisers (yes even the bad ones), all the halloweens, all the friday 13th, and so on. i stumbled on Zane when looking for more info on Pinhead. i Love long form videos ans esseis. i have seen some far left takes from Zane that made me do a double takes but nothing that jarring,
when this video came out i was not home. there was a long weekend in Bulgaria (born and raised) and was a bit late to the party, watched the video about 6h after upload... as soon as Zane started talking about Mad Monster i unsubbed i couldn't take it any more. 3h later i was still watching and couldn't believe all the hate he was trowing on Wendi
