Gundam Custom Build : G-Frame Zaku II

First time doing a repaint build of Gundam G-Frame Zaku II.
it's a bit shorter than HG but has more detail and better proportion. I think this kit will be a good material for custom paint practice.

What primer and paint did you use? I have the same Zaku and I want to try painting it as well, but I've heard the plastic it's made out of is ABS rather than polystyrene so it's not good to use certain types of paints on it.
