Mass Effect is a single-player action role-playing game in which the player takes the role of Commander Shepard from a third-person perspective. It is the first game in the Mass Effect series, and takes place within the Milky Way galaxy in the year 2183, where civilization is threatened by a highly advanced machine race known as the Reapers. The Biotics quest that was given to you by Admiral Hackett after you left the Citadel is definitely worth completing before you go to Ilos. It's pretty short, especially for Paragon Shepard, so you should be able to do both in the next video.

I think the DLC you're referring to at around 1:11:00 is Bring Down the Sky, which is what you were playing at the time. The only other DLC I remember is called Pinnacle Station, but it didn't make it into Legendary Edition because the source code was corrupted.

Mass Effect 1 and Andromeda are my favorites, but you'll really enjoy the transition into ME2. They're all amazing games.

I'm glad you did this DLC. It's quite the intro to the batarians. They have probably the worst wrap out of any species lol. You'll see them again for sure, and Balak. You'll find out when you do. I'm sooo not ready to wait for ME2, but it be like that sometimes. I understand not wanting to rush your first time.
Sure, you've missed a bunch of stuff, but there's always playthrough 2 (and 3, 4, 5, etc) to do it all. It's been fun watching you have fun with what you've done. Let's save the galaxy without the council's help (dummies).

Even though you don't _need_ the money, you can actually get up to 9 million credits (and it's an achievement, in case you care about those things). So you're not even close to maxing out your money. Just clear out your inventory, because you do _not_ want to get messages about the inventory being full when you're in the final mission(s) of the game. It'll really take you out of the suspense and story when you are constantly reminded and needing to micromanage it. Plus you'll be apologizing to us again, so just get rid of it all. Sell it to the Normandy Quarter Master and be done with it. Especially because you're going to find a ton of loot again.
    *Flux*
The guys protesting for Terra Firma in front of Flux provide Ashley with unique dialogue if you'd brought her with you. She's the only one with unique dialogue, since they're talking about her grandfather. They'll also be referenced somewhere in ME2 (including the spokesperson), not as a very important aspect, but it will show the clout they have.
    *Helena Blake*
This is a mission you could've picked up earlier, which would've allowed you to do the planet-missions for Helena and meet her at the base you've raided. This allows her to show up in ME2 for additional content. Since you haven't talked to her on the Citadel, you probably won't be able to take on this side quest.
    *Conrad*
If you've talked to Conrad three times during ME1, he'll make an appearance in ME2 and ME3 as well. Seeing how you've skipped him, he won't be available in the rest of the trilogy. That's unfortunate; you would've appreciated the encounters. And yes, people _will_ probably berate you for it, because he's kind of the stereotypical fanboy satire ;) But hey - it's your playthrough. And it just means if you ever do a replay, you have something to look forward to.
    *Jenna*
This quest is available from the moment you step foot on the Citadel in episode 2, so you've avoided her all this time ;) At that time you could use some decent mods since you don't have more than three of them, but by now it's pretty useless.
    *Tali*
In ME2 they revamped the tech abilities, making them a _lot_ more effective in conjunction to weapons.
    *DLC difficulty*
The DLC is meant to be played around level 15-20, although many people accidentally mistake it for the first side quest and dive into it head-first when they can use the Normandy. Then this DLC is pretty difficult. But when you're "kind of" maxed, the combat doesn't really make you break a sweat. Besides, you should probably play on a bit higher difficulty, considering your abilities. Not that ME1 is that much different in difficulty level though; the only thing higher difficulties do is add more shields to enemies.
ME2 makes much more use of the difficulty level that it gets more challenging.
    *Missing stuff*
I don't really feel like you're missing much. Sure, you may miss something here and there in bases/dungeons, but it's just loot, really. And you're generally pretty thorough, so I'm not sure what's there to criticize. The only things you're missing are side quests and dialogues on the Citadel and out on random planets mostly. And no, they're not necessary to do, so don't sweat it.
    *Enemies not dying*
The enemies that hardly take damage have a white glow around them, which means they've applied the ability "Immunity", which is the one you have as well. That shows you how much damage it soaks up :)
    *Second DLC*
There was a second DLC called "Pinnacle Station" for ME1, but they didn't include it in LE because it was technically just a training ground that wasn't really worth including.

You aimed the abilities, hooray! That's awesome! :D
And to ease your worries, sparing Balak will come back in a very positive way in 3.
(Sad that Conrad Verner's quest has been cut short. He's a constant in every game and it's stupidly fun. Oh well.)

when I said you should do the Asteroid DLC in last part, I admit I completely forgot about this whole cidadel part...
the biotics notification is for different quest I believe. It just all comes in because this is your last chance to do sideequests before you are locked in the final mission
also reason why you feel strong in DLC is that even tough this DLC was released after game, it still can be done in early game (it is old school game, it was before games that allowed you to play after finishing story)

You haven't missed any DLCs, although there are plenty of small side missions you haven't done, as you know. I believe every star system in the game has at least one planet you can land on and explore with the Mako, and most of those have at least one small side mission. Of those, a fair few involve shady experiments being conducted by Cerberus, the group that killed Admiral Kahoku. That's probably as much as you need to know, going forward.

conrad, your choice ofc, but you might wish to edit save file before starting me2 as there is a bug, in all the games, where conrad think you chose the renegade option, even if you did not do that

  • @Belnick6666
    @Belnick6666 Před 3 měsíci +1

about HEADSHOTS, in the normal version, the non legendary edition, you do not have headshots, you can shot them in the head or the toe, for the same amount of damage, which is why legendary is so easy on insanity now days, you just run around headshotting everyone, instead of spending a minute grinding down every basic enemy. I tried to play first on non legendary and then second on legendary, but saves were not compatible, even with modding the save, so you either play all games on legendary edition or all on the original, original the first one is much harder on insanity, but on legendary insanity is pretty easy, but on me2 legendary is still pretty hard on insanity as they added/fixed headshot damage on the non legendary edition as well

Yeah, honestly ME2 and 3 are miles better than ME1 is literally every aspect. But this game started off the trilogy (Andromeda doesn't count IMO) and the story is just SOOOOO good and original. It needs to be turned into like an HBO or FX series. I know they originally tried to turn it into a movie back in the day, but it stalled in pre-production and never happened. It's a complicated storyline, and you can't effectively mix in the who "decision making process" without pissing people off.
F that, you're always gonna slightly upset the hardcore fans. "Fallout" is doing a great job of ignoring all of that currently. I think they could do an entire 8-10 episode season 1 of First Contact war prologue, something about Mars where we find ancient Protheon technology, finding the Sol Mass Relay, then finding the Citidel and meeting all of the aliens, and towards the end of season 1 Shepard finally becomes a Specter.
It might be 3 games, but it's about 90hrs of total gameplay and it shouldn't be a movie or something done in 3 seasons. It also doesn't have to follow the storyline down to the T. I just want to see this Universe and have the overarching storyline stay accurate in terms of the Reapers and why they exist. Anything else can change a bit.
