A reptile dysfunction. That’s hilarious. I laughed out loud.
"A reptile dysfunction" 🤣😂
Dee, your backpack looks like it’s frowning lol Now that I see it I can’t unsee it 😂
Oh man, I can’t now either 😂
@@debby6235 oh no! Sorry lol
Every time I see it now I crack up 😁
OMG! Maybe it would rather be on the beach instead of Alaska again, lol!
“Reptile dysfunction” for the win
Loved the video! Great pictures Dee! While you were hiking in woods enjoying nature and beautiful views, we were downtown.
We visited the Kodiak Wildlife Refuge Visitor's Center, the Kodiak History Museum, the Russian Orthodox Church, and the Kodiak Maritime Museum, which is an outdoor museum consisting of the large harbor. An indoor facility is in the works. All of the exhibits were interesting! We walked to all of these places and they are in close proximity to each other and the bus drop off point, the Visitor Center.
The actual 1.9 acre refuge can only be visited by boat or floatplane. It's recommended to plan way ahead for these options. For bear viewing, guided options for the road system are advisable. Or consider flight-seeing trips for a half day or full day. Destinations for guided bear viewing day trips include Frazer Lake, at the south end of the refuge, and the Katmai coast with both trips requiring a 45 minute flight in a float plane.
We loved this visit to Kodiak Island and plan to visit again and see if a floatplane half day trip would fit in our allotted docking time. We also have Fort Abercrombie State Park on our list for future visits!
I didn't expect Kodiak to be so green. I have an image of Helicopters flying over snow covered glaciers and mountains. It's beautiful.
Good morning, getting off Celebration, great time with friends!
Alaska cruise is on our list or at least a trip to Alaska. But noted in my brain to 100% pick our cabin if we do that and pick one that’s more mid ship.
We got a mailer from Princess it’s very tempting to book another cruise before we have even had our first 😂🫣
Thank you for bringing your Kodiak adventure to us. Truly beautiful and very interesting!
I am enjoying all your posts but especially the Alaska ones. We are going on an 11 day Alaskacruise in June 2024 for our 25th anniversary and your posts give me so much to be looking forward to.
Dee, Beautiful pictures!👍🏻🇨🇦
I love a good nature trail walk those views though wow. I would not move from that bench until sunset.
Jay, you guys need to carry a couple of mini fishing rods, if you like fishing….catch and release of course….doubt if you could take the catch back to the ship! Lol
If yall like potato cakes and find your self near hopewell in the central Virginia area try a restaurant called K&L they have amazing potato cakes and fried chicken
Those old gun mounts look similar to some we just saw in Hawaii. I don't believe any of them actually were ever used, even during the war.
We just love your vlogs. We learn so much! I love your top Dee. Is that a set?!
Thankee! I think she's answering the FB post while I answer here, ha ha... Are you talking about the evening outfit? She says it was an Old Navy cardigan with joggers from Old Navy, so two separates. Whoop whoop!! :D ~Jay
From the evening? It is a Cardigan from Old Navy and Powersoft Joggers from Old Navy! Not a set though.
Or if you mean from the hiking portion that is a tunic length sweatshirt from old Navy and a Boyfriend button up also Old Navy I just put the button up under the sweatshirt for warmth. Haha.
Thank you both for getting back to me so fast! Sorry that I should have been more clear. 😊Luv both outfits. especially your hiking set! Safe travels
OK, even if you're looking at twigs, it's still "nature".😉
This is fun comparing HAL Alaska vlogs from you and @paulandcarolelovetotravel.
