Sometimes Kayla surprises me by picking up on accidental innuendos that I didn't even hear (see: saying "keep 'em coming" during a woohoo challenge, pausing, and laughing) and sometimes she does this. It's kinda stressful ngl /lh
I watched this stream, well a small part of it, and yeah...golden showers was noticed and laughed at in chat. Though one person mentioned they wished they didn't know what it meant, lol

I agree with Kayla about the “extra goodies” with ordering packs early. The bike is cute and I LOVE it. However, it takes the items away from people who have *also* bought the pack. Not to mention the fact that packs are SO expensive, and it takes some people, me included, a LONG time to save up to actually buy the pack. And the people that bought the pack the day after don’t get the items, but people who bought it a day before them do? Not fair. It seems like they just wanted to make a bunch of money sooner, and I will be sad and disappointed if they do it again. Don’t get me wrong, I love the items so much, but it’s not fair and just seems like them trying to get money as quick as possible.
Also some people don’t have access to the origin website to buy the pack and get the goodies. For example, even though I am 14 and would be able to have an adult account, my account is stuck as a child and I am unable to log into the origin website to get the packs from there, meaning I can’t get the the extra goodies
Honestly the bike isn't that great. I've used it a few times and it's super buggy and takes a long time for sims to travel with it. Also had a bunch of times where it just glitches out my Sim for a while or they think they're driving when they're not anymore. Obviously they want people to pre order or buy at full price, but I don't think people are really missing out if they wait on it. I don't think I'll be buying another pack at full price; I'd rather wait for the sales.
Just buy it cheaper from a different site, we still got the additional dlc at release
@@mwahha6965 I do purchase from other websites for cheaper, i would do that anyway even if I did have access to the origin website. The point of my comment was to say that additional content for buying packs early is stupid and unnecessary.
Also it almost feels like punishing new players, like they don’t get something just because they got it a bit later
I distinctly remember in the original Sims game, base game, my child sim one day began to have a thought bubble with a dog in it. Unleashed, or whatever the Sims 1 pets expansion was called, hadn't come out yet. I told my dad that I thought they would add pets into the game. He thought I was crazy, until the expansion was released. Hint for sure, not easter egg because it hadnt existed yet.
How would that have worked though? It's not like it could have got patched in one day and 'began', so it would have to had always been in there?
@@InBloodChains Could've been added in a previous pack, but since they specified having base game, I'm assuming this person didn't have any expansion packs. It's not impossible they always had that icon in the game and it rarely came up so it wasn't noticed until then, but I'd be more inclined to think it'd appear in a newer expansion. But who knows?
As I'm French, I had to check the meaning of guts on Google. Didn't expect to learn this word in a sims video, but, at least, I've got a new word in my vocabulary ahah. And it twits my guts to be threatened by a new kit!

New fridges break. Old fridges last forever. My grandparents had a fridge that was my father's age, it worked amazing and never ever broke.

we just had a 68 year old freezer die on us -- but only because it got struck by lighting... no joke! it would still be running today if the lightning hadnt happened; just saying.
A friend of my mum's has a fridge that's got to be at the very least forty years and that thing went through a 6ft flood and was up and running perfectly fine the next day. Food hadn't even gone off and the power had been shut off!
@F Karma yes. no joke. true story. so sad to say goodbye to that faithful freezer. and yes, totally bizarre like something that would only happen in Sims game... but it was In REAL LIFE freezer, in our house, in our basement, been there 30+ years next to where all the power comes into our house.

Sims team needs to make a grungy yucky kit. More scratches, more slimy things, more gross furniture. This is the content we all need in game because vampires and eco lifestyle and strangerville are not enough

Agree with that! Sometimes its nice to have nice furniture but sometimes its nice to just make more run down houses and do like rags to redevelopment challenges
OMG YES They sort of did this in the sims 3, an exclusive version of Island Paradise came with a shipwreck/tattered clothing bundle. As well as a store set of a Haunted breaking down House, broken and destroyed windows, so much! Gosh I hope they do make something in the sims 4 someday like that, helps so much with gameplay/story telling!
City living also has some grungy things like wallpaper and kitchen appliances
A kit only comes with about 26 items.. really they need a grungy stuff pack
“Sims 4 threatens another kit” is very accurate wording. I can’t imagine the majority of players actually liking kits
The only kits I enjoyed was the build mode ones especially the oasis one 🥰
I have not been really impressed with them. I'm actually kind of mad that the country kitchen kit wasn't in the expansion pack.
@@skullfullofbooks7398 the country kitchen kit did come out months before the expansion but yes I agree with the few items in that kits they could have been add on top of the cottage living expansion as the build menu in the pack was a little lacking However the debug menu was incredible 🤣
Yes seems like the only ones who do are those who are collecting all ts4. Any pc player is better off with cc and stuff packs than 4 clothing kits 😆
I have bought everything but those last two kits. They just seem like a waste of money. Create a game pack or stuff pack to put them in to, I won’t bother buying them, they add nothing to my game.

The 'guts' of rocking chairs are also base game. Peacemaker made a pack of rocking chairs and they're bgc, don't need knifty knitting for them.
I mean the next thing could be something medieval or castle-ish, bc they added so many detailed ruins in the last few worlds, esp with the spiral stair case!

I feel like this may be true, but EVERYTHING in the Sims 3 store literally costs more than $74,000 (rounding down), and the sims 4 is a mere $500 (rounding up). I don't think it's gonna become the Sims 3 store.
@Paige Loren $500 for EVERYTHING in the Sims 4 not just kits that would be insane. Over 74,000 for everything in Sims 3. Those are totally different numbers. I'm not saying that the Sims 4 ISN'T expensive, I'm saying the amount for the Sims 3 is totally insane; and that's rounding up! The commentor's comment is based off of how expensive the Sims 3 was, which was the point. The Sims 4 is so much better in conparison.
@Paige Loren The sims 3 is so laggy. I would rather play the sims 4, than the sims 3. That's just my opinion, no need for arguments and no hate to sims 3 as it is a very detailed game which is it's rise, and it's downfall.

I was having an allergic reaction to something and was on Benadryl when I watched this and have no recollection of it. According to my BF when you said the pink hoodies were restocked it took me approximately 25 second to open your website (which I had bookmarked) and buy a hoodie using Apple Pay. i’m kind of disappointed that the next build kit is “sanctuary vibes” because we’ve gotten a lot of similar things in Spa Day and Snowy Escape. build kits could be SO USEFUL for new styles and types of items and theyre blowing it

If you read the description of the item is says something like "no sim would stack plates like this" and in Ghostbusters" during the library scene in the first movie there are stacked books and Venkman says, "You're right Ray. Having a mailbox next to the letterbox, is actually quite realistic. At least to me, as my dog eats the post if it comes through the letterbox, so we had to buy a mailbox

Swords in the debug COULD mean a medieval-themed pack, as a reference to The Sims: Medieval. I'm also lowkey hoping for more sectional sofas: they're my main reason to go and buy Dream Home Decorator (the other is the new career). I would like to see at least a few in the basegame, but I don't think EA is going to be that merciful on us.
This video made me realize how few people realize modern appliances are built to break after a few years so you have to go and buy a new one so the company makes more money. My mom has a microwave that's at least 20 years old and it still runs. Used to live in a house with older appliances that lasted so much longer than any of this newer stuff we have now.
They build them cheap nowadays cuz it's all about how much they can make off of them.
And they make them difficult to maintain and repair.
I feel like the budget should be set up *after* all of the old stuff is disposed of like in real life. Like you have $15k to move walls and paint and refurnish.

Yeah weird that other packs slid to a halt when kits came out. But we know they're working on Sims 5 so eventually they're going to start slowing down content. Maybe they're focusing on polishing up the base game and then just adding kits to make it feel fresh. 🤔 Unless the lack of kits is because of the base game updates.

i think it makes sense that there is a bedroom connected to the kids room bc that kid is gonna be a teen one day and i feel like teens should have their own bathroom plus when the teen moves out either the kid could move into their room, or the parents could turn it into a walk in closet and it would have an en suite bathroom connected. So many possibilities
Honestly i think the unrenovated version had more character it could use a bit more tidying up but it had something interesting to it that the new one lacked

The mention of the swords being added to debug on the topic of easter eggs for upcoming packs and such had me thinking: is that because of the castle building kit? Did they really start working on that kit two years ago, or is there another sword-related DLC that came out a little closer to the time of this video coming out?

To be fair people did figure out seasons was coming from the calendars being added into the game as well as other things. Pixelade shows a lot of hints that often being true

You should encourage people to use a lot of debug for things that look a bit trashed, so when you delete it, it's like you threw it away instead of selling it.
Perhaps just the bathroom being clean and tidy hints at the family being murdered?! Most time the killer does with the bodies in the bathroom and cleans up afterwards to get rid of evidence. Or could just be a coincidence😬

I made a house for this hashtag months ago and wish Simsie would get to it. It was a burnt out house with a cellar in the back that the Sims were living out of. It took so long to get the house to singe correctly.
