- LRTimelapse celebrates its 10th birthday! Time to look back on an exciting journey, which started with a small idea and then became something big for me.
Most of you have accompanied me at least part of the way, so I would like to give you a big thank back you with this film - thank you for your support and loyalty over the years!
Together with you I would like to review 10 years with many adventures, challenges and great experiences.

First of all I would like to congratulate you (& your wife) for the tremendous work you have achieved over those 10 years.
I'm a photography enthusiast for a long time, but I a newbie in the Timelapse community: I discovered this Technics 6 months ago only. As we are in 2020, I learnt this Technic by watching some tutorials on CZcams. And many tutorials mentioned your software. So I tried it in September, and after 2 trial only, I was convinced about the great potential of this tool. So I bought a licence.
When I tried your software, I didn’t know anything about you and your history. But as I design software myself, I recognised that your software was designed by some passionate people; Development had to be done someone who practice the timelapse technic : It is incredibly intuitive and perfectly fit with the way of working of timelapse editor. It's true for the core function (transition, deflicker…) of course, but also for some side feature, such as the import module. I’m impressed how optimised this software is.
Honestly, I thought there was a little development team behind it. I just discovered in your last video that you are doing that alone.
I have to say that I’m even more impressed. And simultaneously I better understand the homogeneity of the software.
Most of all, I think one of your best achievement is to be able to get the lifestyle you want, living from your passion and gaining freedom. This is priceless. For that I truly admire you.
Once the pandemic will be over, I’ll probably come back to Hamburg. I’d be so keen to meet you.

This was a joy to watch, beautiful filming and great technical expertise and I really enjoyed your presentation. I remember doing my first holy grail with LRTimelapse and it was great fun and I love using it to create time lapses of the night sky around my home county of Cumbria in England. These 40 minutes went by in 5 minutes! Thanks for sharing your journey with us, Gunther. As someone who was obsessed with timelapses, your software was an essential tool for me, and probably would still be if I were doing them. Luckily, I only used the version 4 when the workflow was already super easy, so it was super interesting to see the development from 0.8 all they way to today. It is incredible how many creators and creations your software has enabled, and your success is well deserved. I love how you decided not to expand the company, rent office space etc, but rather leave it in its current form, and focus on living your life. A truly uplifting story. Congrats on 10 years!

I love LRTimelapse, it is just so useful. Thank you so much for all of your hard work! BTW, I built a rig sometime around 2010-2012 that uses the same Dynamic Perception MX2 controller you had, and I am still using the same rig! It works, but I am so envious of some of the newer tech. . . Using that MX2 scrambles my brain every time

Moin Gunther, great story! I also came to time lapse photography via GoPro and have been using your software since May. It is really great. Thanks for the development! I can't believe that a couple and not a big company can revolutionise the world of photography in this way. I'm currently working on a documentary film about Hamburg and I'm going to make a lot of beautiful time lapses just because of LRT. I am looking forward to it when it is finished.

Je me souviens très clairement de la première fois où j'ai découvert ta solution et je l'ai trouvé immédiatement tellement intelligente et tellement bien intégrée à LR (qui est la clef de voûte de mon travail) que j'en ai été soufflé. J'ai téléchargé en vitesse les ressources gratuites sur ton site et ai cherché comment te soutenir (presets et ebook dont je n'avais pas besoin :-)). Depuis il ne se passe pas 6 mois sans que je fasse une formation sur ton formidable logiciel. Même si je ne produit pas de grandes quantités de timelapses, j'apprécie toujours ton site, ton blog, tes vidéos pleins de modestie et de pédagogie. Joyeux anniversaire LRTimelapse et longue vie !

LRTimelapse is such an amazing tool. I remember when I first got it, I was so overwhelmed and Marc Donahue sat me down and taught me the workflow. Now, I have no idea how I ever edited a TL. Thank you for creating such an amazing tool.

Oh wow, this video was sitting in my Watch Later list for nine months! I finally watched it and really enjoyed seeing your journey from the start, Gunther. I started using LRTimelapse probably in 2013 or 2014, and I can't imagine making shots without it. Your hard work has made such a difference to so many creative people, so thank you very much and here's to ten more great years!

Gunther, a truly great and inspiring story! The images of Bonaire really resonated with me. My father started scuba diving in the 1980s here in New York. He belonged to a dive club that took a trip to Bonaire. He loved it so much that he took a time share there. My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Bonaire in 1988 and thereafter took many other trips there as with my parents.
I look forward to following your journey for the next ten years. I only wish I had discovered you and your software earlier.
