Thank you Bishop Greg, I agree that people during covid did not miss church. I think I only realised that mass is so important, when you have no access to it. I now at least have online CZcams you record, but it's not the same. But it is the best I have until my next vacation.

During covid I too was devastated that I couldn't go to mass and not receive the eucharist. But then you taught me the power of the mass online and spiritual communion and how I watched mass whilst drinking my coffee and I come to find a better way. The new Way. And suddenly, I felt like I didn't need the church anymore. Yet this was not my choice .

I disagree with you Bishop Greg.. many, many church goers were devastated to not be able to receive Communion when gatherings were cancelled. For many it emphasised the importance of Mass in our life and I, for one, missed dreadfully the wonderful pinnacle of the Eucharistic celebration - to possess Jesus, Son of God in my unworthy human body & to be encompassed in the the love of the Trinity will always be a treasured blessing I couldn't live without.
Bob Dylan said in one of his songs, I never could call it wine.
