This is rather ironic. Back in the late 80s, I wrote a series of short stories based on Nintendo games and its characters...and I used Abobo and Billy from Double Dragon as the main characters. Mind blown lol

One of the best games I have played for sure as Abobo's Big Adventure captures everything I enjoy and love about 1980-1990s gaming and film culture particularly the NES Console and just the 1980s-1990s in general. This game was more a than homage but a masterful unity of all the best bits of 1980s and 1990s particularly in film and gaming and just an amazing game in it of itself and in a way that's how I feel with my life at times a big adventure with me being the main character like Abobo which I'm certain many other people also feel and another reason in why I love this game so much.
yea the references to nes games and movies are very enjoyable but i enjoy this more as a "nerd retrogramer" with all the meme achievements, the weird way they use the games features or all the "nsfw" stuff added, same vibe than I wanna be the guy imo

10 years later and this is still a solid game. The way they took the different styles and combined them was great and the storyline is entertaining only complaints are wish it was a bit harder and of course longer but an amazing game all around.

Game is very impressive considering Flash’s file limits were extremely small, at least for it to run properly. Good quality music, smooth as water transitions, as well as a really good length for flash. This is deserving of the title as the most impressive Flash game, as well as a nice swan song to the Flash era.
i would have found it better if they had used the tokyo tower instead of the statue of liberty because the company nintendo was founded in japan and not in the us i know there is a us branch but still it would be better with the tokyo tower

sadly, there was no earthbound zero stage... at least some enemies showed up
US/NA only got that on SNES which is a remake from Famicom version that didn't got localized for NES release.
