I feel really, really sorry for people who thumbs down on great talents, GOD-given talent, not only on Marcelito Pomoy, because for one, if Vocal Coaches can analyze & react beautifully, positively & appreciatively of someone's talent, I do not know what talents have these people thumbing down who cannot or do not want to appreciate real talent! I am not only talking about Marcelito Pomoy, but damn, more about him amazingly that some people cannot accept his real & natural alert as a special gift! In the Philippines, particularly in rural areas, when somebody sing a popular song, they should sing it as close as the original singer specially during singing competitions in order to appreciate their rendition.
This issue maybe attributed deeply into the history, culture and values of the Filipinos. We have 300 years under Spaniards and around 30 years under the Americans.
These countries dominated the Filipinos to the point that we lose our self esteem and look up to the conquerors as theirs are the best and ours are the subservient. We failed to harness our own talent to innovate and we ended up copying.
Copying in the Philippines later becomes the norm and copying it best receives the most number of appreciation.
But thanks to a few Filipino local artists who emerged successful in international arena using their own Filipino brand like: Freddie Aguilar, Noel Ayala, Pilita Corales... (I cannot think more)

Dimash has the most powerful angelic choir-like vocals, but he does it more often as operatic, too high that it does not become soothing to the ears anymore! I do not like too much "Birit" as in Filipino divas, including Regine Velasquez because it becomes irritating to the ears sometimes. I love Marcelito Pomoy's vocals & performances, is voice is so soothing, relaxing, effortless, & dual tones, even the woman's voice is just right to its highest notes! Marcelito is unique and to suggest his talent for two voices is ordinary due to many singers in the Philippines doing both male & female, but Marcelito is incomparable to them most gays, and his quick switching of two voices seems easy, but not really, are effortless and no show of strain from nerves or veins in his neck na throat! Spitting out @ end of the song is a show of another talent of his, he has good and quick sense of humor! Apparently, a woman entered his system he has to spit her out his body. Remember, Marcelito is straight guy & happily married to a non-showbiz good looking woman! I pray for his international stage and performances, concerts, recordings of original songs and good fortune & remuneration!
