I’m from Holland, although Womens football grew a lot in our country after the EC in 2017 There still so Many people hating on this girls and this match. It’s just wonderful to see that people respect this girls and appreciate their football.

the goalkeeping has been outstanding the entire tourny... you clearly dont watch much female soccer because this has been a display of sheer brilliance in goalkeeping compared to in Germany in 2011 and ESPECIALLY in 2007.. am captivated by correa and blown away by Christiane Endler for Chile.. but all keepers have been sensational peng shweng from china too, damn so many amazing saves

No is was a really bad game from both the team unfortunately
Both teams were extremely unlucky and not playing their utmost best, but despite that it was clear the Netherlands was stronger here so they rightfully won. New Zealand did great though, all things considered (abusive coach before this one and all that)
NZ is like Australia, both national team need some serious training, plus both team need to play a lot more friendlies to really get results. Again both teams are unable to finish the job. Individual players are excellent, as a team...0.

Lieke Martens first touch was absolutely immaculate today, every time she was given service from afar no matter the speed of the pass she just nonchalantly deadened it right at her foot. What a world class player. Van De Sanden and Miedema needed to slightly better today and will need to going forward but 3 points is 3 points and New Zealand always knew what they were trying to do today which is park the bus and hope they could sneak a goal which they nearly did a few times
They didn't just want to sneak a goal. Instead, they actually controlled the whole match with more chances with the Netherlands and
@@Scriv17 possession was 70-30. Shots were 15-6. Corners 8-1. I hardly could say they controlled the whole match. They got their best chance off a defensive howler from Bloodworth and had 2 chances the rest of the game meanwhile we were in their half with the ball every other minute. Just had to finally break them all the way down

The best match of round one. Both teams played well, and although New Zealand gets credit for excellent defense, they ultimately wore down. After they subbed out Gregorius and White, they weren't as committed to the attack. At the same time, the Dutch asserted themselves. They would have scored sooner or later.

Stefano 2 slightly offside? You just answered your own remark. VAR agreed. Our girls dominated general play. Italy couldn’t win possession so went the player. Hence their collection of yellow cards. Sam Kerr should’ve goaled in the first few minutes & was unlucky. Then more opportunities missed on a number of breaks.Our defence played too high & was shocking. Too many changes made in our general style of game & I think several defenders should be replaced for the game against Brazil & or change tactics because they will be smashed by the likes of the US IF they even get out of the group stage. If anything we lost the game, Italy didn’t win it. Australia needs to quickly get their defence together if they hope to get out of their group. As for Italy they too need to lift considerably if they wish to proceed passed group stage & beyond.
@@andrewd7586 VAR agreed? So, in football, you have to place the ball beyond the line to score a goal. Italy scored twice, mind the gap. We knew Australia were strong in pace and poor in tactics, especially the defensive ones, and we took 2 of many chances to go through. That's all.

They punch well above their weight & if you care to check their ratios in sport generally they along with Australia are towards the top in relation to population! Keep in mind soccer/football are not “our” typical sports. Put the Dutch men up against the Aussie or Kiwi rugby teams & see how you go!😈😈🤣 I was just happy for them😎👍🏻
