I like how Bowser built a trap-door in the wedding hall that goes to a whole BATTLE ARENA instead of just putting lava.
That mean's that:
1) Bowser anticipated Mario would come to crash his wedding
2) He wanted to face Mario 1 v 1 rather than to straight-up kill him

The Broodals should totally be back in later games. They're extremely unlikeable so it's very enjoyable to whoop their ass, plus their battle mechanics are pretty cool.

But Spewart’s battle mechanics are leaving behind a trail of poison, spewing poison, and spewing more poison. Yeah, that’s pretty much all he does! Plus, some players, myself included, damage him before he fully dishes out his main attack!
@@soullessginger2745 Harriet was the easiest Broodal for me, and Rango was the toughest. I think Harriet is easy because I got really good at returning her bombs right at her, and I think Rango is very difficult to avoid while he is jumping around.
Nintendo's 2 favourite boss fight tropes:
1. Disembodied head and hand fights (eg. knucklotec, bongo bongo, eye rock, tiki final boss)
2. Bosses that vomit everywhere (eg. Spewart, Cookatiel, Petey Piranha)
3. Bosses that die in 3 hits (eg. all of them I think)

This game is still a total masterpiece. There’s literally not a single flaw I can think of. Clever plot, likable characters, arguably the best physics and controls in a 3D platformer, authentic concepts (like the “capturing” gameplay and the 2D moments), brilliant level design and freedom, attractive graphics, cool locations, and great music!
One of my favorite things about this game is that it has a lot of references to Super Mario Galaxy and how towards the end of the main game you kinda get to see how Bowser constantly escapes his deathtraps when they all fail.

My top 5:
5- Lord of Lightning. Great design, okay fight.
4- Cookatiel- what a STEW-pid bird. But it was a SOUP-er hilarious fight though.
3- Bowser- Not as good as Mario Galaxy, but still epic and excelent. His hairstyle was great.
2- Knucklotec- Why are you hitting yourself?
1- Mecha Broode- This fight was incredible. The build up, the music, and the fact that we got to use those adorable little pokios made the fight even more excelent. My favourite part was poking those stupid broodals in the face one by one to finish them off once and for all. (Until the dark side). Although I do not really like the broodals, Mecha Broode is a force to be reckoned with and is in my opinion, the greatest boss fight in Super Mario Odyssey.
This is, one the best mario games in all times. (Btw, the final boss was awsome)

Tactics for Defeating the Broodals:
Topper: wait until he starts spinning, then ground pound or stomp him while he is on his front and not moving.
Harriet: when she throws a bomb at you knock it back, and when she is inside her hat deflect a bomb back at her to knock her down
Spewart: when he starts to spew poison ground pound or stomp him twice quickly.
Rango: just fight him normally, I can't think of any tricks to defeat him fast.
Madame Broode: just put Cappy in the way of where Chain Chompkins is about to charge, that should knock some hats of his head.
