The paradiso is known to have great acoustics for the audience and is s relatively easy venue for the FOH mixed to get good sound. I worked the venue as an engineer for the Counting Crows so I have first hand experience. Soundboard feed recordings are usually crap because the engineer rarely has to reinforce the loud guitar amps from the stage, so you can barely hear the guitars on those. I laugh when people brag about “soundboard recordings” .Thd Stones use up to 96 separately recorded tracks from live shows and spend weeks getting a good stereo mix from those live shows. Graham Parsons lived with Keith Richards for a year or so in the late 60's or early 70's. They went through stacks of country records, learning all the guitar parts. He was a big alt-country, country rock influence on Richards, way before they used those terms.
Fabulous! All those moaners endlessly harping on about Ronnie Wood not being up to Mick Taylor bore me... his playing here is beautiful... perfect Stones lurching rhythm, perfect tone, perfect beat and timing that only the Stones can do...
I like the Mick Taylor period of the Stones, but I prefer Ronnie Wood. I think he fits better with Keith Richards, and those two playing together is like listening to an orchestra. The chemistry between them is so cool.
Charley and Ringo got so much out so little in the way of equipment. Think one of the VanHalen brothers ect. Eddie’s got a FrankenStrat , Mom I want a lotta drums.

One of the first Stones songs I learned how to play. It always fascinated me that you could string a few chords together with some lyrics and turn it into a million bucks. Its like magic, Like alchemy, turning lead into gold. And put a song in people's hearts all the while. And these wizards did it again and again and again. for 60+ years, the soundtrack of my life.
mmm... This was very good, but best ever was the '72 live version from the film, "Ladies & Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones", with Mick Taylor on electric lead guitar. 😉
A country song about drug addiction 🎉🎉. Only Mick Jagger can make it sound amazing 🎉🎉. They always push the boundaries on controversy 🎉🎉. That's what makes them the best rock band in the world 🌎 They simply just do it their way 🎉🎉
Yeah as great as the Beatles were-and that's cuz mostly they were family safe but the Stones tell it like it is in real life. and they had more material of quality. You don't often see that cuz of the family censors.
This is one of those songs that sits with those of top tear. I love watching great covers of this, but am put back in my place when I hear the Stones do it again.
Cheers, Ronnie! At the song's conclusion, he was rushed to the medical tent with third degree burns on his ring and pinky fingers. Had the nurse give him a band-aid and a "knee bluckler" and leaped back onstage for the twp-song encore performance: "Looking For A Factory Girl" (which he played on a steel pedal), followed by Keef howling his signature "Rim Job"
Jagger’s great when he’s funny and camp but it’s nice to see him just being a musican and a singer once in a while. I know it makes Keith happy. Ron wood is fucking great.
Ronnie burning it up. I love that Keith truly enjoys collaborating with another guitarist (weaving). Other guitarists in Keith's position after Brian was gone might hog the spotlight (too much ego) and go solo or get a rhythm guitarist they want to control. But not Keith, he really enjoys sharing the creativity. So do all of the members of the Stones, it makes them a better band with a thirst to expand their art with other artists. They're not just another blues Rock band, their arrangements and sound are a unique signature.
I love this video. You can see everything like you are close-up. And the shots of Keith are a lot more than we usually see him. The Stones are still a hot ticket.

Another one of the Stones coolest country tunes, just something about this tune, I think the guitars are all jammin dead on! Boogie tune.. get up and dance lyrics?
I remember thinking at the time that the were getting old and wouldn't be going much longer. Nearly 30 years later, still going strong. Worlds greatest band! 😁
