The REAL final boss was the lone (4th) Wolf Pack member in the F-117 Stealth Fighter at the end with the escape sequence.

Such a great game. I'm making a modern game using this as inspiration. Music is thrash metal and using modern(ish) military equipment with some custom created bosses. Probably wont make a dime from it, but it's been fun so far.

My toxic trait for this game was, always trying to beat the bosses with just my main gun with the exception of the few that required special weapons

On that 2nd level/boss, I like using the $250,000 plane a lot. I find that you can play the middle forest level first: you can get a lot of money on that level. And, defeat the other levels/trucks until you have enough money. The weapons on that plane line up perfectly for that level; that's why I like it on that level. Still, it's easily doable with the basic plane, too. I've done it both ways. I find the $250,000, the $350,000, and $1,000,000 planes very, very beneficial or even required. Those arw the only ones I ever buy...

For those of us that didn't know the Manga and OVA series (yes, there's an Anime this is based on, called "Area 88"), and weren't used to 1990's "Pretty Men" in Anime, Shin did indeed look like a girl with that hair.
