If you watch our newest Edible Image videos, you will have all your questions answered for you.
Yes you can eat it. That's what the word "edible" means.
If you reply to peoples comments you must hit "Reply" or it doesn't notify them of the reply. If you just comment normally like you do it just looks like your talking to yourself and gets confusing and no one knows who your replying to. You don't need to type @userName. When you hit "Reply" CZcams automatically does that for you and notify's the receiver & puts the reply comment in the correct original commenters space.
You could have eaten it
@@AlphaBravo860 this was 6 years ago I don't think the reply things was there
Yeah either ways it helps explain to people who didn’t see the comment
really any one can eat it its has no any damages for health ?
No problem, I wish I could be of better help. We'll have to get some to review. We have just finished filming a set of 3 videos on using an edible printer, so hopefully that will help you out! They should be out in the next week or so. Thanks for watching!
We got a big cookie with an edible image on it for the Super Bowl, and I was curious how they made it. We weren't sure at first if it was indeed edible, but found out it was. This is very cool. Thanks for posting this!
This is really cool. I was always curious what the process for these graphic images on cakes was. Thanks for sharing with us.

Currently I'm using photoshop to lay everything out...I just filmed a 3 part series on edible image basics and it will be up shortly.
What our video series on edible printing...it will answer all of your questions.
@12enma12 you can follow the links in the video for all of that information :) the brand of paper we use is Icing Images
You can just print multiple cupcake toppers to the size you want and cut them out or you can order icing sheets where they are already cut-out for you. You use any image layout program you want like Photoshop.
we made a new series of videos (3) a couple of months ago on edible printing...check on those and hopefully they'll help you out!
We get ours from Icing Images...watch our 3 part series on Edible Printing for a ton of information on Icing Images and edible printing...we did it about a month ago.
@lstanton212 There’s no dedicated software needed for printing these. You use the same software that you would if you were printing on normal paper. We use Adobe Photoshop for most of our layouts, but you can use whatever image editing or design program works best for you.
You're welcome! Thanks for the kind comment! If you have time VOTE for us to win CZcams’s OnTheRise program. Go to our main page and watch the VOTE video for details!
Icing sheets are thicker and come with a plastic backing which helps feeds them through the printer. Icing sheets also produce better quality prints. There is wafer paper that is made for edible printers, you can try it out and see if it works for you.
I learn something new everyday! Never knew how easy this was til now
I LOVE YOU FOR NOTICING!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for this tiny piece of validation. You've made my day/week/month/year!
@Nathal2009 No, it doesnt have a CD or anything like that to help you out. Basically you have to teach yourself. When you need it to fit a cake, you just cut the image out with scissors or an exacto knife.
I'm so excited because I am a Photographer and Cake baker! And now I can combined them together!!! Thanks so much!
R. Phillips so ist save ? And we should remove the sheet ??
@PleazurAble2ME Yes … All the manufactures of the edible ink products will have a list of compatible printers on their sites.
Canon PIXMA MG5220 and we get the sheets/ink from Icing Images
it can be used with any printer that is solely used for edible products and you put the edible ink cartridges in place of the chemical ones.
We leave them in the printer, just as you would regular cartridges. They do have expiry dates though, so make sure you know how long they last.
it actually does taste pretty good....sort of like really thin fondant. when it is on top of a butter cream icing, you don't even taste it at all.
CupcakesandCardio, you are an angel for answering the same questions over and over and over. I wish people took the time to read the comments before asking questions. They would find their answers right away. No offense to anyone but People! please read the comments!!
Hi, it clogs a lot due to the food based inks (no chemicals like the real ink to keep it running smoothly). We use Icing Images ink :) Hope that helps.
Great! So glad I was able to help you out. If you have anymore questions, let me know.
hello! what app do you use to upload the image onto the computer?
What is the name of the machines that does that
@hotvamp666 You can print any image ... just like a regular printer.
Never knew it was so simple
Also check out this one czcams.com/video/4LRk6mJFBEo/video.html
We use Adobe Photoshop, but most image editing programs can be used.
Yes, the printers are the same as you buy from office supply stores. BUT … not all printers have edible ink cartridges available for them. For whatever brand of edible ink you want to buy, you need to go to their site and get a list of printers they support.
If you want to know more about the printer, search Google for "Icing Images" we don't sell these printer, only use them.
Watch our video series on Edible Printing...we put it up a couple of months ago and it will answer all of your questions.
Yes it is, I use the wilton sheets as well as the white sheets from Icing Images.
You are an excellent presenter and the tutorial is great !!!
Yes she is 😃
@12enma12 If you don't want to use the machine a paintbrush and edible inks would work too!
Frosting sheets from a company called "Icing Image".
@TheChiarottola It's a normal printer.
depending on where you are, depends on whether we can ship something to you...because we ship!!
Once it is on the buttercream, you can't remove the image...it's there to stay. So I have no idea if it "stains" it as it completely attaches to it.
@gobigstanley1 The icing sheets are tasteless and have a slight vanilla smell. As far as I'm aware, the machines that print directly on cakes are for larger commercial uses and are expensive. If this is something that you are in the market for, you should contact one of their sales rep to get a demo to see if they fit your needs better.
It doesn't have a taste (unlike some edible paper) and the sugar blends in with the buttercream. It's really great product.
I've seen that they have come out with coloured and patterned sheets, but I don't know if they have white.
We keep it in a sealed bag if we aren't using it immediately after printing.
I just love this concept. Thank you for sharing
We order them from company called "Icing Images".
great! glad you found it!
Hi, I just started and I set up my canon printer and my printer asks me what type of paper I'm printing on (glossy, matte, etc.) and I'm not sure what option to choose. because Icing images edible paper isn't an option.
thanks in advance!
Hi Jazmin, I'm sure you can find something like that to print off...good luck! Sounds like a great cake idea.
it clogs sometimes, but it is quite easy to unclog.
We use the Premium sheets.
@Nathal2009 The printer is a Cannon.
Thanks for taking time to reply my questions. Love your videos.
@CreativeCakes1 10 to 20 minutes ... I would recommend not moving the cake for at least 10 minutes after you apply the image.
Cool presentation. Very clear explanation
You're welcome! It is a great tool to have :)
I haven't tried them, so I can't advise you. Sorry. We use IcingImages for our icing sheets.
Im looking for this kind of edible stuff with edible paper . This is a big help. Although I’m a beginner. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing video. Will visiting your channel again. 💕
I would give the Canon PIXMA MG5220 a try.
Thank you for your instructions. How did you cut this nicely?
The printers you use are no longer available can you recommend any newer models
how you put the different ink on that machine what brand of ink you recommend
What is the name of this printer?
How thick materials can printers take? Sometimes regular paper 80g can be clogged in the printer. What if a cake gets in the printer? I am still not sure if this can work well
Do you have the links to where I can buy all the stuff your usong. Paper ,ink, printer, software ect please thank you
hey can you tell me if the Canon Pixma iP2702 Photo Inkjet Printer would work for printable images and where i would be able to purchase the ink?
I have a square image and if i get a round cake i don't want my image to be cut off...will the image have to be according to the cake before i order a cake or mostly I'll be giving it to a shop to do it so I'm a bit concerned
@PleazurAble2ME It’s a Canon MP640 and we use “Icing Images” brand products.
Hi I have a question about edible inks , I have got a new printer as I want to start printing edible pictures I am wondering are you able to buy New normal empty cartridges and fill them with edible ink or dose it have to be empty edible cartridges ? If so what's the difference as they are both empty and never used ?
Thanks!
How long did you wait for the topper to dry before cutting it and placing it onto the cake? Did you let it just sit or put it in a seal?
Sorry to bother you but how much is it to bye a cake from you
I would love to start doing this
I bought the new canon printer from icing images. Got it all set up to print. But when I print my image the colors do not come out very good. I changed my print setting to photo and it came out a bit better, but not like the original scan I did. Your pics look so crisp and clear.. Any ideas on what I am doing?
Not sure they ship to Malaysia try ebay.
so theres no way around getting a new printer? There's no way to clean it? Im making a cake for my boyfriend and wanted to print a picture onto the cake for his birthday
no.
Wtf! I thought they drew these images on...WOW! I'm so getting one of these cake printing kits!
o good
Anyone know how much a sheet on average costs using your own tools excluding the initial cost of printer.
We get our supplies from Icing Images
its a regular printer, used solely for edible images.
Question: buying edible ink can i run it on my copier to push out or can it be washed out the ink paper or i need to get another copier i want to try this looks fun wish but kinda knew but wasnt sure where to get sheets know i know
Can I jus remove the ink if I'm not using the printer instead of printing once a week
it taste pretty good to me and i am very picking about my icing.
If I print a black nametag with white lettering and put it on a black frosted cookie....will that work for the white lettering?
Thank you for posting this video! I am having trouble setting up print margins. Either I it prints over the edges or not quite to the edges. What settings and program do you use to print? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing! Does the frosting 'seep' through the paper? I would be worried about staining from the crisco or butter!
what model of the printer should we use to print the photo for put on the top of the cake?
Could we clean out our printer and do it that way or does the printer have to be new
I see you are using a cannon printer ,what do you think about the mg5520 for printing edible images?
Hi, what kind of paper do you recommend it? what is your opinion about the wafer paper? thanks
there sure is! check out icing images dot com!
hi, can this edible print picture be used on whipped cream cakes?how is the taste of the sheet?
What software is that for the images
Having issues getting the right size of picture
I just wanted to say thankyou for this awasome video ............ and can i use a regular printer or its especific please answer ..
you just slice through it as you would a normal cake. it cuts without any difficulty.
please what application do you use to edit because i'm having a lot of problem printing on the round type like you did
Cookies Cupcakes and Cardio what tip did you use to make the rope border? that looks badass!
So could you eat that fresh out of the printer
Yeah
Neko San

Waao, thanks for the uploading this cool Vedio, I was wondering how do you cut round images.
