I-vi-IV-V seems to be the Pop Soca Road march formula. When you understand the hypnotising impact of these familiar chord progressions and framed melody, combined with evocative lyrics, you'll know why this song has such a huge impact this season! Well played arrangers/producers. You have used the scientific approach here again, Savannah Grass déjà-vu/nostalgia but it worked here for the intent.
Looking fwd to hearing more expanded chord variations in future so that our young musucians could be challenged harmonically.
This is aclassic that , like one of the Sparrow or Kitchener classics or just the "sans humanitay" chorus will be sung for as long as carnival is celebrated.
