I think the reason 99 bombs didn't add 99 bombs was because it looks at how many you have, which the game only registers as 3 because it only looks at the first two digits, and then adds enough to get to 99, which is pretty interesting. It's also probably why you cant buy the 30 cent item in the shop, it changes to 20+whatever because there's no item in the base game(and DLC) that costs more then 15 cents, and if it didn't do that it could take 1500 coins or think you don't have enough, so it puts 20 in the slots it registers and when something is taken out of that 20 it resets and takes it out of the actual amount of coins. Since it thinks you're at 20, you can't buy it.
