Robert, over a decade ago I moved from California to Ohio (Now across the river in KY) and found your first Central Coast videos on CZcams because I was searching for something to ease my home sickness. I love all of your Out West videos. To anyone that hates CA, go there and visit. It's arguably the most diverse and beautiful part of the country.

I'm finding many of the haters have never been to cali. They only know what they read or see in the news. I was born and raised on the coast in central cal. The state is HUGE. It's like 3 or four states in size, geography and in many ways,...culture. The haters think all Californians vote the same, homeless fill the entire state and crime is under every rock, lol. There are those places but the state is so big that there's way more of the good than the bad. Politically, it has it's problems all right,.... but topographically, most beautiful/diverse state in our opinion. Cali has it all. I know what you mean by homesick. Went through it many years ago. The ocean and redwoods, never left me. Cheers.

It just makes me laugh when I get into discussions with people from Ohio, Kentucky and even Indiana regarding the state of California. None of these states have room to talk lol.
I don't think it's arguably. And these people also fail to mention is that California is at the top with life expectancy in the US while the states they hype up are far below and pay far lower wages.

If he was a dish washer that would be ok, but no he’s an accomplished singer musician and now a traveling influencer. God bless Robert and his family. He’s not bragging he’s just showing us what we can have if we work hard and are open minded. Please people be nice or just get off his page. I have visited California and I love the climate but to me the prettiest beaches are still right here in Alabama, at Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Really all of the Gulf Coast is amazing. Looking forward to the ride up to Oregon.
Spent a couple days on the central CA coast a few years ago and doing the PCH to Santa Cruz. Once you get out of the big urban areas, CA is such a beautiful and diverse state!

We live in northern CA and have been here several times but when someone else describes the beauty of the area we sometimes don't appreciate the state with all the crime and problems in the Bay area. Thanks for the reminder.

I drove pch1 from Los Angeles to San Francisco. What surprised me most was the big sand dune against the Cliff at Malibu. And one of the lighthouses further up.

Pismo Beach is picturesque. The surf temp even in August according to Google averages around 58 degrees or so, definitely cold though. Not a whole lot of people braving those temps. 😁
They had multiple slides on the big sur section of coast hwy one this winter season.They've always had slides but this year was really bad. Extremely hard on those living down there getting in/out or supplies. Business hit extremely hard too. It looks like a dream in pictures,.....when it's nice. When it's not,..an unforgiving place far away from the rest of civilization. Thanks for vid. Nice to see you out on the west coast. 👍

At 8:33 it shows you have the same studio monitors i used for many years Event 20/20 studio monitors.. Sadly my sub recently went out and i switched to the Jbl series 3 MKII monitors with a new matching sub from the series. Great work as always Robert. Would love to see some eastern Oregon Content from you if you ever make it back over to Oregon!

My husband and I watch your videos almost every day and we love your travels. Just curious if you considered putting your videos on Nebula. CZcams is monopolizing this type of content and is forcing CZcamsrs to advertise sponsors and sensor content to get monetized (I pay 30$ a month to CZcams not to hear the advertisements and I still do). From the bottom of my heart I wish I did not have to use CZcams, and it looks like Nebula is the way to go! I wish more CZcamsrs put their content on Nebula!

Hey Robert, happy Easter! Nice opening shot of the pelicans making their nest! And another nice shot of the DC-3 flying overhead--I've always wanted to take a ride in one of those. (Speaking of DC-3s, the Estrella Warbird Museum is just down the road, along with the Woodland Auto Display with some neat old race cars) I've been visiting Pismo and the surrounding area since the early 80s...heading down there next month for my b-day week. Just out of frame at 5:13 is my favorite place to stay, the Kon Tiki Inn--highly recommended. I really love the bike ride from Pismo up to Avila and out to the Port San Luis Pier. At 13:27 you pass the staging area for the Point San Luis Lighthouse tour--definitely worth taking if you're in the area again. Until Friday, happy trails!

Lived in Morro Bay 26 years. Daughter still in San Luis Obispo. She used to work at Ventana. Best place ever to live. Thanks for the memories.

A must see near Avila beach is Sycamore hot springs. You rent your own, private hot springs by the hour in the beautiful forest
