True, but that's only really relevant if you're going to play Career or jump into 25%+ races. I'd imagine a big chunk of the players who can benefit from these tips are best off honing their craft in 5 lap races where they won't feel the disadvantages of those setups. After that they can work on moulding setups to suit themselves for longer races.
Controller player here: Recently turned off gears and tc, gears made me faster but tc set me back. I cannot use a wheel due to physical health issues. I don’t know what to do to improve. I get these good setups but cannot ever improve and turning off assists is not letting me make good progreds
like all things it just takes time, after about a month of no tc you'll most likely be faster and more consistent, its just about admitting that you might be slower for a while before you get used to it, then you can start to get faster
Wouldn't a setup of someone at the top of the leader board be different for people playing on the controller ? Surely, a wheel setup wouldn't work on a controller
Speaking from my experience in other racing games, a good wheel setup can still help you gain time, though it might not be as stable or optimised for your controller experience. Also going for setups that aren’t at the very top but still close to it, often gives you a more stable setup to work with than the crazy things the absolute top race with that are on a knife’s edge
Trailbreaking is harder on controller I came to find out. I get to 100% on the brakes with 80% of my trigger pressed. And for 10% either way I don't get any breaking. Maybe its just me, but its what I experience.
Been my experience on a controller as well. You don't get that finesse where you can drop 10% and still stop the car. Instead the car just doesn't stop at all!
The only assist I use is gearbox. I’ve tried turning it off in multiple games, I can’t for the life of me figure it out. Can you make a full tutorial as the ones I’ve found dont help a lot. Also if anybody knows a good tutorial or tips they would be greatly appreciated
Wdym by tutorial. When the engine is doing weird noises, upshift, when you see a corner ahead brake and downshift. There's a recommended shift gear in assists which tells you the gear you should aim for. That's all
@@kisrz4419 after time you start to hear the engine and know exactly when to upshift. Same for downshift. After hours of playing you just get the feel automatically and always shift into the right gear without even realising. Same applies for no abs and no tc. I play without any assists and wouldn't be able to teach others how to master it. I just do it automatically and no idea how 😂
a lot of info's are False, Dont always look at the ghost, Look at it a few times, but DONT do Turn in like 800 meters before the Corner, when the Ghost turns in when its infront of you, Assists is all about time and practice, Go as low as you can Comfortably and keep working at it, The setups in TT ARE NOT. Race Setups. they are TT setups. they may be worse on tyres etc, MAKE SURE to learn about setups and what what does, PLAY around make a setup that SUITS you.
Damn that Kaptiv3 guy is quick! A 29.7?? Wow
Get him in esports right now
Time trial setup copying isn't the best idea. They are optimised for singular laps, not going a whole rsce with them

It's still possible to adapt these setups into a race setup, good baseline at least
Thanks Ben, can't wait for the next CS video. I am praying you finally have luck and win the championship this season.
He's won it!
@@familyoelze2111 I'm happy he did😄
Tip #1: Crash into Alex Gillon! 😂
Learning trail braking and manual gears shaved over 1.5 seconds for me.
Thanks man and also congrats on winning the creator series 😊😊
Love your vids ben keep up the good work👍
More videos!!! You awesome coach or teacher
Cheers Ben

Just make sure that you load the setup in the garage 5 times couse if you click it only 1 time than it may not load the full setup
I’ve been learning to trail brake for about 30 minutes and I already lost 1.7 seconds per lap
Thank you
God bless you bro👏👏👏👏
These tips sound like I'm going to bottle it at Monaco in 2016
how about a video on the realistic team ranking
I am a old school simracer, so i always go back to first and second, tried this weird not going below 3th and i gained 2.5 seconds...
And the only assist i use is Automatic Gears 😂😂
The point of a formula 1 game is to pass gears bro what are you doing 😂
@@ryancganim its hard if you dont have a controller or a wheel, changing gears on keyboard is mad hard mate

But what if I use controller. Still do manual gears?
How do you get good at abs off
Well, I'm sure u know but setups are somewhat individual, plus a good setup won't make you faster if your lines and technique are bad
Tip 1-10: turn TCR full and ABS full. Never lower it. Congratulations, now u can play the videogame

Should be able to change the dead zones no?
Wait...whats wrong with carreer mode???
I’m not shifting 53 times a lap. Fuck that
The only problem I have is I'm on controller and its near impossible to do gears, tc and abs because its hard to control the car with those off
As a former controller player, you got this man 💪
Well i play with a controler so manual gears is a bit difficult.

At first its diffcult to gear manual

Do you have tips for manual gear on controller?
Just practice and you'll eventually get used to them, manual gears in every racing game makes it way more fun and grants you more control to drive
@@josemanoel6208 Oke. Thanks mate.
If you reconfigure the buttons to have the gears be on the bumpers it’ll probably feel more comfortable and natural.
@@retrobeans24 Good point.
1. run all assists and racing line
2. play in T cam like a chode
3. run grip hacks
do all that, but for the love of god don't join a real sim.
These bots jesus
god damn YT has gone to shit with bots
Not true ppl are fast the reason why you talk the way you do, it's for ppl with wheels not pads. Oh yes get a job mate a real job
This man makes a ton of money and you say it’s not a real job?
tons of the top people in time trial are just hackers with names like opmeer etc...don't trust those setups.
